Week Name/Date/Time: A Moment's Peace/Sunday, October 2nd, 2005/ 9:45am
Location: Grounds
Open To: Anyone
Currently Involving: Saffron Mayloski, Arisu Ryusaki, Jackie Zhang, and Scarlett Lycroft

With her face pinched up in concentration, Saffron sat on a thankfully dry patch of grass weaving very thin, very long sticks together. So far, it appeared she had a very successfully made a...ring. When she tucked her last end into the..ring, she realized how her face must've looked and relaxed it; her cheeks ached. Looking at her creation, Saffron heaved a sigh. She had been out here since breakfast and nothing to show for it. She couldn't even make the blasted thing into a picture frame. If she could weave a bottom, it'd make for a very good apple holder, she noticed as she turned it over a few times. Negativity struck her, and she suddenly thought A crab apple maybe.

Didn't she still have History homework to attend to? Ever since she woke up this morning, the day seemed to be stretched. Or at the very least, Saffron tried to stretch it; she hadn't even worn her watch. Lingering at breakfast made her nearly the last one out. And when everyone else met up with their friends or went off to do homework they had been leaving until today, she found a spot nearly Hagrid's hut to weave a sorry excuse for a something-or-other. I'm just distracted, she reassured herself a few times, as thoughts flew around in her noggin. Honestly, there were only two things she could think about, but that seemed to take all her concentration. One of which had curly brown hair and a knack for rambling.

Sighing once more, Saffron patted the grass surrounding her. It was unclear whether the grass was wet or just cold, but she didn't much care, and flopped back on to it. The sun was rather bright, and there were hardly any clouds; she was disappointed. How could she stare at the clouds and find shapes in them if there weren't any? Wisps of clouds wouldn't do either. Maybe she shouldn't have tried to stretch the day. With every passing moment, it just got more boring.
