"Thesis, that's a big word for a Quidditch player, be careful you don't hurt yourself." She gave him a sly sideways smile and tapped his leg with her foot affectionately. "But you may be onto something there. I do have bigger balls than you," she said with a grin.

And then her fellow Ravenclaw dropped a bombshell that wiped the smile right off her face.

Aleesha's eyes widened at Margie's apparently blasphemous naivety. "Of course there is a kissing scale," she spluttered, as if totally outraged that her friend had not heard of such a thing. She looked to Kazuki for confirmation and he backed her up, though of course not without insulting her legendary (in her mind) kissing skills. But she chose to ignore his unfortunate (for him) ignorance.

"Margie, my love, you have much to learn. It's very, very lucky for you that you happen to be sitting with two people who quite often top the scale." Without missing a beat she turned to Kazu and added, "yes, I've heard good things about your skill, don't let it get to your head or I'll beat you at arm wrestling in front of the whole school."

She turned back to Margie and continued. "In the lowest postion, numero uno on our little radar, you have the droolers." She paused, mostly for effect, and shuddered. "The type who leave you with desperate need for a towel. You know, to wipe your cheeks, chin, nose or wherever else they may have slobbered. Now, I've never seen you wandering around with a towel, so I'm thinking that that's not our Tom, congratulations."

She took a sip of tea, clearly rejoicing in her audience, and pushed on. "Two's are the peckers," she said, pausing briefly to snicker at the word. "They're the ones that are too afraid to do anything but kiss quickly and chastely. And I don't mean a quick kiss goodbye or hello, I mean short pecks all the time. The reason they don't get the top spot is because even these people are better than the droolers." Again she offered a little shudder.

"Third on our list is the too-much-tongue person." Aleesha held her hands in the air as if holding someone's face and waggled her tongue around, licking the air with vigour. "I don't think I need to explain any further. Tongue is good but, Merlin's pants, no one wants to make out with a Golden Retriever."

She held her hand out, willing Kazuki to explain the next few levels of skill.

((I'll have Kazu post early, to continue on with this awesome kissing scale, lol!))

"All right, all right! Truce!" Kazu laughed, holding his hands up in his own defense. He definitely didn't want to lose to Leesh again, not to mention in front of the whole school! He decided to keep his mouth shut for awhile.

Kazu leaned back in his seat, munching on the biscuit as he listened to Leesh. Surprisingly, this girl knew her stuff! He was tempted to test out Aleesha's skills, just to place her somewhere on the scale, naturally... But that would have to be saved for another time. When Leesh motioned for him to continue, he paused to think for awhile. What was number four again?

He turned to Margie, and leaned his elbows on the table, now that his biscuit was gone.

"Coming up in fourth on the scale are the ones with no knowledge of breath mints. Like... What's that word, halefragitosis? Anyway, pretty much bad breath, yeah? They can be fine kissers and all, but their breath puts them towards the bottom of the scale. Some things taste good in a kiss, like mint or just good smelling breath. Other things are bad... like, old broccoli stuck between their teeth."

Kazu rubbed his tongue over his top set of teeth, making sure they were clear of shrubberies anywhere in between. Luckily, they were in the clear! He continued on.

"And after the fours are the 'om-nommers'. Y'know, the type that constantly just wants to eat your face?"

Kazu paused for a moment, before holding his hand about eye level, making something that resembled a puppet. As he spoke, his hand opened and closed, making it seem like his hand was eating something. "It's like all they're thinking is OM NOM NOM NOM!!"

He shuddered as he thought about those types. "Always grabbing your hair... Smashing your teeth together... Usually it ends up in bleeding... Ack, it's weird. Usually those types are guys, but you can never be too careful."

He reached for an apple, taking a huge bite out of it.

Margie awkwardly laughed at Kazu's joke about Aleesha, unable to fully focus as Aleesha suddenly started to talk and describe the kissing scale. Of course she knew there was one...but she had just been stalling for time. At most she expected Aleesha to tell her there was and then prod her for an actual number, but this was worse.

As she started to describe and go through the ratings, Margie's blush became deeper and started working down her neck even. She put a hand up to her face, trying to hide some of it as she watched them, unable to look away. It was like watching a train wreck. Except it was heading at her and she was frozen.

Not even to mention at the end of this she had to pull Tom into it. Not that he already was, but she would rather not divulge something that seemed that personal. Blimey she didn't even know anymore.

And then Kazu started and her face heated up more. How awkward! It was enough with a friend, but a guy she barely knew?! Merlin they just wanted to kill her didn't they?

All she could do was just stare at them with a horror stricken expression, unable to even pull an awkward laugh or stutter through her frozen lips.

Leesh was enjoying herself far too much. The look of horror on Margie's face would be enough to keep Al giggling for days and it had served as a terrific distraction to the lousy day she had been having. She made a mental note to thank her partner in crime later for this wonderous event that was making Margie blush. Maybe Leesh and Kazuki could test the accuracy of those skill rumours, you know, for celebration and scientific purposes.

She nodded along in earnest to Kazu's explanations. "Oh yeah, a number five chipped my front tooth just last year!" She ran her tongue over the tooth that had been broken, although it had been fixed since then. The boy has apologised profusely but she had been too mad to accept any sort of 'sorry'. Which reminded her, she really must find him and tell him she had finally forgiven him. A year was long enough for him to be humiliated.

"Ok, six! Don't worry lovely, we're getting to the good stuff now. Sixes leave you feeling a bit empty. Like they're scratching just short of an itch that's been driving you mad for years, yeah? They're nice but not what you need. Sevens are good, but they like to experiment a bit, which doesn't always work out for the best. You might have several wonderful kisses but what sticks out in your mind most is the one time they got it wrong. When sevens get it wrong, they get it wrong badly." Leesh frowned, apparently recalling an unhappy memory, but she didn't care to share her past.

"Eights, ohohoho, now we're into the good stuff. Eights..." She paused and grinned, now recalling much happier times but really, it was time to wrap this thing up, Leesh wanted to know what Tom was. "Eights have you walking around with a silly grin on your face long after you kissed. Nines leave you breathless and slightly weak, as if you've used all your physical energy in just one kiss. And tens, well..."

Al grinned at Kazu.

Yes. Scientific purposes only.

Kazu munched on the delightful piece of fruit in his hand, keeping his focus on Aleesha. Ooh, a chipped tooth! When she mentioned it, Kazu couldn't deny the fact that he was curious to know who this boy was... But there were more important things to discuss. Like the kissing scale!

"Ooh, eights are good," Kazu said quickly to Margie. "I've kissed a few girls who I'd give an eight. Usually after a good, solid date you'll get one of those!"

He returned Leesh's grin. Ohhhh, the ten.

"A ten on the kissing scale is the biggest honor anyone can achieve. Really hard to get a ten, I think. I mean... a ten is the perfect kiss, yeah?" Kazu said with a nod of his head. "The perfect length, the perfect amount of tongue... And if you're lucky, the clothes come off."

Kazu said this as if it wasn't a big deal at all, this getting naked business. He took another pleasurable bite of his apple before deciding it was a goner, seeing as the core broke in half.

"So, who're we rating here? Paddock?" Kazu asked, raising an eyebrow.

Margie couldn't even begin to utter a word. She sat there, horror stricken, especially with tales of Aleesha chipping a tooth and their personal anecdotes. How could she ever do this? And why couldn't the ground just open up and swallow her whole, leaving Aleesha and Kazu to discuss the gritty details together.

She could barely even swallow without her face heating up more.

At Kazu's question, Margie quietly nodded, looking down at her plate trying to think of anything that would get her out of this predicament. But then also thinking of what Tom was...and freaking out about what she might be. There only seemed to be something good from 8 and up, and knowing her she was probably below that. Oh blimey what if she was horrible and Tom was just putting up with her? How horrible of a girlfriend could she be?
