Week 045: 'Must Not Tell Lies’

Thanks to the magnificent skills of Marcy Hourigan, the St. Mungo’s nurse who currently resides at Hogwarts, all was well. The students and various staff members who contracted dragon pox were cured and returned to their daily routines no sooner than five days after being in the hospital wing. Although most students were off welcoming their classmates back to their daily routines again, there were a select few that weren't.
Early in the morning, before most of the castle was awake on Tuesday morning, a mixed age and house group of Ravenclaw and Gryffindor students snuck into the kitchens and poured multiple viles of Veritaserum into common cooking ingredients (like oil, batters, milk, etc.) that would be used that morning and throughout the rest of the day. When the food was served, every student who had eaten any food from the Great Hall that day was under the influence of the potion. Essentially, everyone in the castle was infected - teachers, Ministry patrollers, students, house elves even!
As the population of Hogwarts spilled their secrets and told the truth, friendships were being put to the test, detentions were being handed out, and there was nothing professors could do. They figured the best thing to do was let it run it's course and within a few days (by Thursday) the latest it'd be gone.
