Merlin Flanagan was nervous about this DA meeting, as he'd never actually expected Jackie Zhang to go anywhere. Of course he'd agreed to take over her position should anything happen to her, but that was only because he cared about the group and he didn't want it to end or... turn chaotic if some such thing should happen. Now he was faced with being a leader, something he couldn't claim to be experienced with. He was friendly toward people, he was good with defense, but he still couldn't help but stare at the group with wide eyes as they first entered the room.
"Well, now tha' yer all here an' lookin' alive, here's what I called a meetin' fer," Merry started with a hesitant smile, clasping his hands behind his back and pacing a little from his position by the window... a window that had only appeared when he'd needed some air before disappearing. So perhaps his position was not so much by the window, but by the spot on the wall that formerly held a window. Har, a convenient place it was - this room.
"We're not jumpin' inte anyt'ing defense-like, an' I know tha's goin' t'be disappointin' t'some. 'S not tha' I don' have ideas, 's just tha'... I been thinkin', an' I've decided 's time fer us t'be recruitin' again," Merlin informed them with a determined nod of his head. Ah, this wasn't so bad... when no one was speaking or giving him funny looks. This might actually work out for him, especially when Avis Abernathy was standing a few feet away with her arms folded across her chest - acting as a bodyguard of sorts. Lovely.
"So, now tha' I've told ye wha' we're up to, who has some suggestions?"
