Adriana was preoccupied with glaring daggers at the noisy old portrait behind her on the wall when Dorian moved forward and pulled her to him. She didn't have much choice so she looked at him with narrowed eyes, parting her lips to complain some more but stayed silent as he spoke.

Well, now he was threatening her with no snogs! And more about this poison rubbish! PFFT.

Grumbling in frustration, she was going to give her annoyed compliance on the matter when she was distracted again. "... you have really pretty eyes, Mr. Grace," she remarked softly, gazing back at Dorian, looking slightly transfixed. "Did I ever tell you that?"

Not that Adriana had never been this close to Dorian before, she had many times, but her eyes were usually closed and she was usually focused on... other things. Perhaps she just never really took the time to notice them.

"They're blue like.. the ocean," she continued with a light smile, nibbling at her lip in trying to find a word to describe the shade of Dorian's eyes. "I love blue, it's my favourite colour. Everyone assumes that you love green the best if you're a Slytherin but that's really not the case."

Dorian let out a long, slow sigh, rolling his eyes that were blue like the ocean in response to her blabbering.

Oh, they were pretty, too. Just what every guy loved to hear. He was pretty. Might as well change his name to Doriana, for Merlin’s sake!

“Thank you,” he ground out in reply, not loosening his grip on her for fear of her fleeing, or causing even more of a ruckus. Dorian couldn’t help but wonder a little at her comment about blue being her favorite color. He wondered if that was because of his eyes, and his ego liked to believe it was.

Why not find out for sure?

Not that he needed an answer. Dorian would believe it was his doing either way.

“I don’t suppose my eyes had any role to play in that favoritism?” Dorian asked, sounding incredibly bored and annoyed. In her… drunken state, however, he doubted and prayed that she didn’t notice it.

Adriana happened to think it was a very nice compliment. Dorian's eyes were rather stunning, and although she may have picked a more masculine word in a different state of mind, it was still true. And Doriana? Not bad.

She was still quite entranced at the moment so the tones of annoyance went mostly unnoticed. However, given her constant change in moods, she'd probably be yelling at him again soon enough.

"Um, no," she answered simply, moving her gaze away from Dorian and off to the side for a few spare moments, seemingly daydreaming. "I've always fancied blue... I regret to inform you that not everything revolves around yourself." Adriana leaned in just a bit and lowered her voice as she spoke, as if spilling some really important secret.

"Now would you let me go?" she asked with a tired, frustrated sigh, eyes darting to his grip then back to him. "If you want me to go to the hospital wing THAT badly, then fine! But I'm perfectly capable of walking down a bloody corridor."

Dorian let out a soft snort, suddenly feeling very disappointed she wasn’t all there at the moment. Lovely time for a snog, it would have been….Well, whenever was good for a snog, Dorian thought. Except, of course, when his partner had been poisoned. Then not so much.

Dorian ignored Adriana’s denial, preferring to take that as an intoxicated yes. It had been several minutes after his last ego boost; he was starting to feel withdrawals.

“If you’re sure,” Dorian answered, dropping his hands to his sides. “To the right, Miss Winters. That doesn’t mean turn around, as there is a wall there. I’d rather not scrape your entrails off the floor if you walk into that suit of armor, either, so please try to avoid that if you can.”

Well, maybe she wasn't so sure about that whole standing by herself thing. As soon as Dorian dropped his grip, it was suddenly a lot harder to hold herself up, and Adriana took a wobbly step back to somewhat slouch against the wall again. That did NOT count, she wasn't ready!

"Oh, thank goodness, you do care enough for me not to be impaled," she commented in a tone of mock appreciation, clasping her hand over her heart. "Had me worried, there."

Determined to walk on her own two bloody feet, she then straightened herself up from off the wall, along with her robes, and took off to the right. Not that Adriana actually planned on going to the hospital wing, but hey - one thing at a time.

She made it several shaky steps before her head really started to spin. Stumbling another step, it felt like a massive headache and it was getting more difficult to ignore. Still ahead of him in the corridor, Adriana winced and stopped where she was, lifting a hand to hold the bridge of her nose. She shot her index finger up to eye-level with her other hand, like she had meant to do that and just needed a second.

Dorian had a feeling this would happen, but it didn’t stop him from being incredibly amused.

Hey, she should have expected it.

Dorian watched Adriana stumble down the hall with his regular amuse smirk, arms folded lazily across his chest. It was funny, if not a bit pathetic. Then again, if he had been in her situation, Dorian probably wouldn’t have asked for help either. He hoped he’d be sane enough to realize something was wrong, though, which was apparently beyond Adriana.

A few seconds after she stopped, Dorian followed, leaning against the wall next to her.

“I don’t mind assisting,” he said in a low voice, now acting like he was the one sharing a secret. “No one’s around, it would never be found out. You’ll get there sooner, and you’d feel better. Stop being so stubborn, Darling. Personally, I’d love it if you clung to me for balance. If we can’t snog, admiring your figure while holding you up is a suitable alternative.”

He thought flattery would be the best way to get her to cooperate. Obviously everything else didn’t work, and the next step was a snog. If this failed? Well, she’d better take out the lip gloss.

Adriana knew there was something wrong now, just didn't want to admit it and ask for help, especially from Dorian. Before, she was finding things rather amusing and she felt perfectly fine, but now the constant dizzy spells and the sensation that a stake was being nailed into her head was just plain painful.

And here he was... amused! Oh yes, it was brilliant, watching her stumble down the corridor like she was drunk or some such. She was NOT weak, and she did NOT need his help!

Lowering her hand slowly from her nose, Adriana raised her gaze to Dorian with a cold glare. Bloody ponce. Why did he have to be right? "Yes, I'm sure you would enjoy that," she said with a low cough, looking at him with an unamused smile. Well, the flattery was always gladly accepted, just not as appreciated at the moment. "You are my hero, Mr. Grace...," Adriana commented in a sarcastic, dream-like voice, moving passed him and tossing her arm around the shoulders of the nearest armoured statue a few feet away. Which, conveniently helped in keeping her standing. "What every girl dreams of, their own knight."

Apparently he had one option left.

Merlin, he BETTER not get any of that poison from her mouth. Dorian would kill her.

Except, not really. He’d be too busy blabbering like she did.

Dorian groaned at her, showing his annoyance. She couldn’t just COOPERATE, could she? It would make all of this easier! But no. Adriana had to be stubborn. Usually Dorian admired that, but at the moment, is was just annoying. He crossed over to the suit of armor and yanked her off, kissing her harder than he had in a while. With a very sharp nip on her bottom lip, he shoved one of her shoulders away, keeping his arm around her waist.

Hopefully now she’d be more agreeable. Dorian pulled her down the hallway, hoping his kiss wouldn’t have the opposite effect.

Adriana normally would purposely provoke Dorian into snogging her, but in yet another surprising thing this morning, she didn't mean for it to happen this time.

Not that she'd ever complain about Dorian grabbing her for a snog, just that perhaps it would be more enjoyed when she wasn't poisoned. Ah well.

She was much too taken with this suit of armour to move before Dorian had thrust her off of it and towards him. Her reaction time was still crap and it took her a few seconds to fully make one. Wincing slightly at his bite at her lip, Adriana groaned against his mouth in anger, but kissed him back all the same. Like hell she was going to just object to a snog altogether!

"Is that what you're like when you're jealous?" Adriana mused out in a laugh, being pulled down the hallway again, still a bit reluctantly but her mind still too focused on the snog to process both things.

When he was… what?

Dorian Grace didn’t get jealous. Sure, Adriana was a fantastic snog, but he knew how to share. They weren’t exclusive, or anything close to it. Alright, yes, they were around each other more than others, but still! Dorian knew Adriana snogged Jeremy regularly, at least she used to, and there were probably a few other boys.

Just because she couldn’t have the best twenty-four seven didn’t mean Adriana didn’t look for a substitution, right?

He was fine with that!

“What the hell are you talking about?” Dorian fired back, quite curious as to where this would lead.

She really shouldn't be finding this as amusing as she was.

"Well, I put my arm around a bloke in armour and you instantly go jumping at me for a snog!" she explained, chuckling as she watched the confused expression on Dorian's face. "You just don't like me hanging off of anyone else, DO you?" Narrowing her eyes, she pointed her finger towards him accusingly, stilling moving down the corridor without completely realizing it.

Adriana knew damn well that her and Dorian weren't exclusive or god forbid dating. She just found his random snog quite funny and the timing didn't help. The notion of him just using it as a distraction to get her quicker to the hospital wing hadn't crossed her rather delirious mind.

“Yes, that’s exactly it. Caught me there, Winters. Brilliant of you, really.”

Snark.

Dorian rolled his eyes, resisting the urge to let out yet another aggravated groan. She was annoying him incredibly, and he didn’t realize why he’d never noticed that he preferred Adriana silent. Yet, he’d rather not have his favorite snogging partner die on the floor because he’d left in a huff.

“If you don’t be quiet, I’ll kiss you again,” Dorian threatened. “Do you really want a bloody lip, Adriana?”

The snark was definitely not lost on her.

Adriana would have to try and remember to thank him later on for not leaving her to die on the floor. She really didn't fancy the idea of roaming the corridors of Hogwarts like bloody Myrtle for the rest of her... death?

She simply laughed again at Dorian's threat, pondering how that could possibly be considered a threat. "Oooooo, there's a scary thought," she murmured in a low mocking voice, and a smirk quickly found its way onto her face again. "Honestly, have I ever complained about one before?"
