To Saffron Mayloski, an A was not Acceptable. Really, it stood for Atrocious. Staring at her paper angrily, she bunched it up and shoved it into her bag, which sat at the foot of her table.

He nodded slowly. "I heard," he said and then raised his eyebrows. "Are you going?" He wasn't entirely sure who was going at all. Jory certainly wasn't interested in spending an entire day at the Ministry, which would've been just as useful as sleeping but would not have provided the same rested feeling. In his opinion, anyway.
"Oh, History," he said with a grin, as it was one of his favourite subjects. Saffron seemed eager to get off the topic, though, so he let it pass -- especially since she was bringing up flying now, which he had to admit he liked a bit more than History. Possibly lots more. It had been a little over a week since he had gone flying with Jackie. "Um, flying?" he repeated, allowing the enthusiasm to seep into his tone, his smile to widen. "Well, yeah. I would like to." Which was an understatement, as his lit up expression no doubt indicated; he'd more than 'like to'. "Uh... when?" he asked.

Jory was not the only one not really interested. "I am," she said sullenly. Sure, she wanted to see what the ministry looked like, but after that, she could just come home. A whole day with a guide telling her something she didn't want to hear - she could just as easily have gone to History of Magic and actually gotten something out of it.
Saffron wondered why she went to Gabe for help with History of Magic, when Jory was so much closer, and so much cuter. Shaking her head at her own silliness, she sank back into the seat, nodding at Jory slightly. Listening to him, Saffron got excited along with. She hadn't been expecting such a good result, for him to be so enthusiastic, but clearly he was. This simply enthralled her, and she was suddenly bouncing. "How is sunday," she asked happily, no longer even thinking that this would put her a step ahead in the fight for Jory.
