It had really been ages since they had had a proper picnic (not that this one was exactly going out to be outside on the grass), and he missed it. He had

"Oh, thank you." She smiled as he complimented her, a slight flush coming over her face. She felt a bit silly dressing up for just in the castle, but it felt nice to dress up pretty for someone -- especially someone this special to Lexi. "Don't worry about her, she's just jealous, I bet!" She added on a quick remark about the Fat Lady, and sent a look to her with her eyes narrowed. The portrait simply huffed and turned away, and Lexi chuckled.
"I've been alright." She had just enough time to answer before Julian took her hands and began to lead her down the corridor. He always knew how to be very mysterious! "Where are we going this time??" Her eyebrow quirked as he mentioned he had something for her, and she was instantly curious.

"That's brilliant!" he said happily, grinning. "I don't want you getting sick ever again. And if you do get sick, I expect you'll tell me and I'll whip you up a potion and slip it in chicken soup." Ever since she told him about her flu, he was completely convinced that she was illness prone (he was a worrywart, really), and had been trying his hand at making tasteless healing potions. They were coming along quite nicely.
"Just down her...," he mummbled, pulling her along. That was the thing about Hogwarts, things were mysterious, and it was easy for one 6th year boy to surprise his girl. Stopping at what appeared to be a random door, Julian hastily got out his wand, unlocked the door and opened it slowly. Once the door opened, it revealed an elaborate setup.
There was a mushroom (a quite unrealistic but still very cute) in the back, the top of it hitting the ceiling, which was disguised as a very pretty, spring sky. All around there was grass nearly as tall as the mushroom, though there seemed to be a path in it. The path, of course, lead to a small clearing beneath the mushroom which was covered by a checkered blanket. Lo and behold, on the blanket there was a picnic basket. "Huh?" he questioned, to see if she liked it, pulling her gently into the path. "It's like we're outside, huh?"

Another turn around the corner and they seemed to have reached their destination. Lexi peeked inside as Julian opened the door and she was pleasently surprised to see a version of an outdoor garden. An indoor picnic! Her mouth opened slightly in a gasp as she did a little circle in her spot, taking a look at everything around her. Grinning, she turned back to her boyfriend, "Oh, Julian... it's beautiful." She spoke, wrapping her arms around him with a sweet kiss.

Julian was enthralled that his surprise had been so well received. It appeared she liked it. He returned her embrace, rubbing her back gently. Pulling away, he realized with distress that he had to control himself. He sat down, nodding toward the seat opposite him, motioning her to sit. "I'm so glad you like it. It's not exactly nice outside, so I thought I'd bring spring inside the castle!" They couldn't stay too late though, all this would disappear eventually.
"Guess what?!" he exclaimed cheerfully as he began to unpack things. Two glasses, two plates, a loaf of fresh bread, he began taking out all the sandwich things. This time, however, he was prepared with condiments and pickles - of all different varieties. Also, he had lettuce and tomatoes, just in case. He didn't want to leave anything out. He didn't really give her a chance to say 'What', before he was explaining. "I was able to thin the Jumer, so it doesn't look so much like blood. I had to cut three seconds off a stewing time or something like that," Julian said shrugging as if it wasn't anything. "Now it has the consistency of actual juice, say, fruit punch, but still all the flavor!" He had been dying to tell her this, as she was the first person who mattered to have tried it.
