If anyone saw Erik like this, it would probably be a tad embarrassing, and yet he was too happy to mind. He was giddy, or as close to it as possible. He laughed when she asked how he was doing. Always the one to crack jokes, he wanted to respond 'you tell ME' with a suggestive sort of smile, but she didn't leave him much room for a response. In fact, she was leaning in to kiss him again. Merlin. Well, he he could answer without literally saying anything.

Erik was in a dream like state, yes, but not from lack of sleep. It was from the major rush of emotion that hit him every time his lips met hers. His eyes were closed, but he felt very much awake. His heartbeat was ringing in his ears, almost knocking him over the head with the message that this was more right than he could possibly understand.

Breaking away from the kiss, he moved backward until he was leaning against the wall. He put a hand to his chest and laughed, closing his eyes again for a moment.

"What have you done to me?" he whispered and reached out to pull her in again.

It was his turn to stop her from answering. It was a surprise that his lips had not gone numb by now. Kissing her with every ounce of feeling he could, he wrapped his arms around her, hugging her to him. His arms were meant for this, they had to be.

Juhi could feel her heartbeat rattling her ribcage...or was it Erik's she was feeling? She wasn't even sure, and she certainly didn't care. she felt rooted to the spot, and she could feel everything Erik was trying to tell her without speaking, and everything she was telling, pass into her, and curl up and find a home there. She suddenly felt incredibly vulnerable, but it was alright. Erik was here.

He moved away from her and her arms went slowly down to her sides as she watched him, slightly concerned and mildly amused. She took a hesitant step toward him as he leaned against the wall, and she opened her mouth to say something when he laughed. She wasn't sure there WAS to say, though, and closed it again when he closed his eyes.

What have you done to me?

Nothing! she thought. Nothing and nothing and nothing, compared to what you've done to me. She was completely terrified, in the moment he pulled her toward him, and she had no time to answer. Surely being this dependent on another person was not normal or safe? She was only fifteen! She wasn't supposed to adore him, no matter how brilliant and brave he was. No matter that his life could have fallen apart, and he could be doing ten thousand other things with his time and instead he was lounging about outside the owlery on Sunday morning with her. NOT supposed to adore him...

But she did. And of course it was fine. It was MEANT to be that way. She was MADE to adore him. Erik was hugging her close and she was pressed up against him. She could smell the stone of the wall behind them, and hear the birds (besides the owls) still stirring around in the morning chill. She COULD, but she didn't. She knew nothing but Erik, and she and Erik.

Juhi finally broke away from him, gasping for air and laughing. Once she'd gotten in a few good breaths, she lunged back toward him, and flung her arms around his neck, lifting herself off the ground. "I love you," she whispered in his ear. Hopping away and grabbing his hand, she started for the lake. "This way!"
