Juhi looked up into the rafters somewhat impatiently and waved her gloved hand around. It was so quiet she was actually hesitant to speak, but after walking in a circle scuffing her feet got her no attention, she gave it up as a bad job. "Malachi!" she called out, somewhat softly, and waited for her family's owl to shake himself awake and float down to her.
Once the bird was perched nearby she approached him slowly, getting a good look at him in the meantime. "Hmmm. You brought me my letter from Da at least twenty four hours ago; been out late playing with the riffraff?" she whispered. Not that she actually thought poorly of the Hogwarts owls or had expected to find him awake, of course.
Pulling a treat from one pocket of her navy blue robe and two letters from the other, she fed the owl and then spoke to him more seriously. "I've got one to go to India," she switched one letter over to her right hand and held it up in front of him. "Ribka. And this one," left hand, "is back home." Juhi waved the letter for her cousin around in the air. "You feel like a longer journey?" Malachi nipped at her right hand and obediently held his leg out.
The letter fastened on and her owl sent out into the grey sky, Juhi turned around and addressed the room at large, voice louder this time. "Right, you lot. Who's up for London, then?" Hopefully someone would volunteer quickly; she hadn't practiced skipping rocks in forever, Erik was bound to challenge her soon, and the lake was her next planned stop.
