Week Name/Date/Time: 'Countdown to Darkness' / Wed. October 26th / 10 AM Location: halls right outside study hall Open To: Jackie Currently Involving: Ari
Jackie looked surprised as Ari burst through the doors, a smile highlighting her face at the other's enthusiasm. If there was one thing she could count on, it was Ari and her crazy energy. Her mood was suddenly (if not temporarily) lifted and she skipped the last few steps out of the hall, that way they could close the doors behind them and leave the other students to their studies.
"Ari!" She exclaimed. "You were waiting for me...?" She looked around to see a few other students walking by, and so she took the other's arm and proceeded down a corridor in no particular direction. "What's up? What business?"
It was rather sad that Jackie wasn't at all surprised by Ari's behaviour; it was obvious that she knew Ari well enough to expect something like this. "Of course I was," she answered brightly. "You need someone to help cheer you up," she added, poking the younger girl in the side

Count on friends to make her laugh. Jackie had to smile at that. She really couldn't get away with being mopey for long, and that was her curse? her trouble? her blessing? Too many people knew that she was normally pretty happy and "well-adjusted" that when her mood changed, everyone kept asking what was wrong.
"What?!" Jackie laughed. "Getting a new man?" Technically, she didn't think she even had an old man to begin with. And she couldn't stop laughing at the get-first-man-to-fall-madly-in-love idea. "But... I thought we were supposed to... hook you up with someone!"
Yes, that would distract her enough. "That way, I can go back to living vicariously through you." She grinned.
Something else? Jackie was fresh out of ideas. She knew Ari probably wouldn't want to go flying, and studying? Definitely not. Would she be up to pranking someone? Hmm... Jackie had to think about that. But it was hard to imagine.
Ari shrugged helplessly. "Well, it will get your mind off him." Apparently, the 'him' in question didn't deserve a name. While Ari didn't really know the boy, he obviously wasn't worth addressing by name seeing as he turned down one of her good friends
