Applicant #422 VEEKA VEEKA VEEKA! OMG I AM SO EXCITED!!!! I was agonizing over what to pick for you because you're so awesome and unique. You like sea creatures/monsters >:) but you're so kind and sweet so it was a headscratcher for sure. I was clicking through Wiki seeing if I could get any ideas and then it was like, WHALE and I was like, ooh that sounds interesting, and then it was like, THEY'RE VERY SMART and I was like, wow what a coincidence, Veeka is very smart and Wiki was like, IKR. SO! I looked over in that direction and then didn't know what to pick because so much awesome, only one spot! Then then then NARWHAL! Okay because my other idea for you was the swordfish because come on, they're super amazing and have a sword as a nose which is fierce. But you're not just fierce, you're nice and so NARWHAL! They also fit very well with your driven nature because they are very loyal to a certain way of life with their seasonal migrations. If traveling hundreds of miles to a different, preferred location isn't driven, I don't know ( ... )

You are absolutely, positively a Giant Squid1. When I got to the part about your connection with marine animals and sea monsters, I knew RIGHT AWAY that your form HAD to be the Giant Squid. This famous 'sea monster' has made it into such tales of adventure as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and has the benefit of actually being real ( ... )

Applicant #419 The Ermine looks to be a good choice for you. They are able to live in Northern Canada at the beginning of the Arctic Circle and in Seattle so there's your snowy and/or rainy climates. An ermine is primarily nocturnal which fits with you being a night owl. They have beautiful fur and were highly prized in Europe. Queen Elizabeth I has a portrait with an ermine as it was a symbol of purity due to how clean they keep their fur. A Victorian preacher used ermines as an example of stubbornly keeping to the pure path. Also, they're really pretty :D

Good luck choosing!

I'm not seeing an awful lot here, though you shortchange yourself by about an inch and you're incredibly stubborn. When I see “stubborn”, I immediately think “as a mule”; looking further at your application, I see nothing that convinces me you're not a mule. First of all, there's the obvious thing about your stubbornness: your mentioning it repeatedly is very reminiscent of a mule's repeatedly refusing to follow directions. Also, you want an earth-bound animal with fur; both of these (if you count horse hair as fur) fit here as well. Finally, you don't want an animal which is lazy or dependent; mules can work very hard and are known to be smarter than their parent animals - and this intelligence helps make them largely independent!

Man I am BUMMED that this didn't make it into your choices but HERE IT IS:

Yes, yes, the tanuki, sometimes known as the raccoon dog, is perfect for you.

1. You expressed interest in an earth-type animal, and the tanuki, with four legs and the fur you wanted has both! It's also got that balance between fast and slow & smallness and tallness you said you wanted! :D

2. The tanuki is a very intelligent animal! Like their namesakes the raccoons, they are known for getting into any kind of device made for keeping them out. They're smart, and they remember how to disarm traps that they've seen before.

3. Finally, you said that you love snow and cold and rain. The tanuki has thick fur perfect for withstanding that. They're found all over Japan, including the very cold island of Hokkaido. Plus, they live in small, amicable groups. You said that you can take or leave social interaction, and the tanuki can offer that to you without those petty squabbles that some animals get into.

(you would have been such a cook tanuki)

Thank you, Sonja!

Noooow, I'd love to see everyone's reasonings for their choices (even if they're not one of the four given to me!)

[you have no idea, how much I squealed when I saw those four choices up there >.>]

Applicant #420 Dearest Isa, I think a fox would be great for you but I think of you as a fluffy, awesome cloud so I am picking a cloud in animal form, also known as the SHEEP. Specifically the Bentheimer Landschaf sheep because they're pretty and very fluffy and from Germany. Also, they're used for land management, so their job is to eat basically. I think that's awesome. They are super huggable, I mean come on, sheep are like the most huggable because of their fluff. AND! Despite being thought of as a 'dumb' species, they are actually rather clever. For example, this entire website has evidence that they do smart things, like figuring out how to get yummy food without getting hurt and being able to remember sheep and human faces. Sheep can be lazy but also playful with their owners. They like to chill with their posses but they can roam as well.

GOOD LUCK CHOOSING!

UNF. This is so fitting. I am so torn. This is just so... SO fitting. Like. I love sheep. Ridiculously much. Like. I mean. I collect stuffed sheep. I have sheep slippers. I have a stuffed sheep hand puppet. THIS IS HOW MUCH I LOVE SHEEP.

See? THIS IS WHY YOU ARE A CLOUD, ISA! I knew intuitively and now there is so much evidence of why this is so :D

It seems that your house totals don't include bonus points for registered animagi. :)
