Success! Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land was procured at the public library. I also found the Best of Bowie DVD on sale at Sam the Record Man, which I'd been meaning to buy for three years. The dream is now realized. The videos bring back happy memories of all the Bowie-related events I've taken in during my college years: the NSCAD Bowie party (complete with LPs, Bowieoke and Bowie Scrabble - apparently I have the ability to link any word to the man, try me!), the film festival screening of Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture, and the Reality satellite concert (attended in Thin White Duke costume; mistaken for a waiter). Yup, the best years of your life.
That's about all I accomplished today, apart from drinking some beer with the rez gang. Tonight is the YAS Ball for King's, which earlier meant that my floor was full of drunken shounting people teetering 'round in heels and playing fine musical selections like Boom Boom Boom Boom!, but now means peace and quiet. Nice.
