(no subject)
Finally.... vacation. I’m still at the chemistry lab, but heading home after this short update.
Tomorrow I’m getting up early and driving Gib to the summerhouse, spending the day unpacking (not my stuff, but Gib’s: hay, other feed, saddle, bridles, brushes etc) and seeing Gib settles in okay. Then I’m driving the borrowed horse trailer the 120 km back to the stable in the late afternoon, picking up my sister and Minis from town, and driving back to the summerhouse again. And then...finally...17 days of relaxing at the summer house, my whole vacation. Minis (thirteen now) is getting some time off from the younger dogs that are staying with my mom in town/ at her summerhouse.
Well I finally managed to break up with my boyfriend at the beginning of June. He took it very lightly and I’ve talked to him a couple of times since and things are fine between us. What a relief! The whole breaking up thing was really stressing me since I’d never broken up with anyone before but knew all too well how devastating it could be.
The stable has given me the most excitement in my life recently. Not in a positive way. The stable manager has taken to drinking and things have REALLY gone downhill for her in the past month. My best stable friend moved to another stable because of it. I’m holding on. The property owners already gave the stable manager a notice of termination. She on the other hand confided in me about her problems. Sigh. Glad to get away for a few weeks.
Anyway, should head home to pack. Via Stockmann (for Magnesium pills) and the Academic bookstore. Need some holiday reading. In fact, I was thinking of buying the entrance exam book to vet school. If I feel the way I do now next May, I’ll at least go take the exam....
