The Diodes @ Sneaky Dee's 2007

I know there's a filter add-on for FireFox that's supposed to rate things like YouTube comments on spelling and exclamation point use, etc and block them from your view if judged to be written by monkeys, but what I really need is a more intuitive comment filter that will read and judge whether the comment will make me want to smack a person for their views rather than l33tness.

Or I can just stop scrolling down the YouTube page. but I won't.

I was looking for "Tired of Waking Up Tired" (because I am and I don't have the mp3 on my work computer like a good girl) and got a clip with an interview and live performance:

The Diodes formed in October 1976, opened Toronto's first punk club the Crash 'n' burn in May 1977, became the first Canadian punk band to get a major record deal in August 1977, released their first album in October 1977 and had a couple of college radio hits in 1978. Fastforward 30 years to Sneaky Dee's in Toronto June 9, 2007: all original members reunite (with Ryder Mackay, Ian's son, on keyboards) and perform one of their best known songs. This clip includes interview footage with Cheetah Chrome [♥] from the Dead Boys

Song starts around 1:50, comment that made me roll my eyes by ottomust: Fuck!! What a bunch of old farts...goood [sic] song but... time been there [huh?] and move on...look like a little out of shape???, ass kicking by Joe Dick.

'Cuz seriously? I'd start somewhere around the fact many bands don't sound that good live when they're not a bunch of "old farts."

ps: thanks to mikeneko, I actually know who Rough Trade are!
