A Day In The Life Of...
Just a quick entry that I threw together. I'm trying to actually be active with this deal..for once.
WASL week is a god-send to anyone who has already pasted those test because then you get 2 hour late starts all this week and a couple days the next. Plus in April when the Reading Portion of the test is given. So, being the uberly smart person that I am (No, really!) I have already passed all my sections and thus have been able to catch up on a bit more sleep these past few mornings.
However, while the mornings -before- school have been nice the actual days have presented the usual drag. In English we had to act out scenes from A Raisin in the Sun and I played Beneatha so I had to dress in overalls, tie a bandanna around my face (bandit style) AND get smacked in the butt with a stick >_>
Lunch wasn't too great either. Usually its really hard to get enough chairs for all the tables so whomever (out of my lil group) gets to our table first usually tries to snag enough for all of us. Well today while April (another friend of mine) and I were sitting at the table waiting for everyone els this guys walks and asked if he could have one of our chairs. We of course said no. He proceeded to beg for a moment and ask why we couldn't just go get another chair (because OBVIOUSLY the extra bit of searching would be far too much for -him-), when we still continued to say no he said "Fuck it" and walked away with out chair anyway. April called after him, callin' him a prick but I don't think he heard, or more or less he didn't care. The latter being more likely. Now before anything says anything I do realize this really wasn't a big deal its just starting to piss me off that no one seems to have any common courtesy anymore. I'm sick of people thinking they can just get away with everything >_>
I have an orchestra concert later on tonight as well. Then this weekend I'll be away in Gresham, Oregon for the Orchestra comp. that our school is competing in. There should be at least a bit of fun to be had..not the orchestra part but I'll get to be with a few of my friends that I don't see too often anymore. What with the contest tonight though, I don't get to go to the H.S which is disappointing. I haven't been at all this week.
