Ok so I have been noticing some things about myself this past week. first of all, I am beginning to nod off into sleep during classes. This has been stagnant in classes that I have been attending in usually the morning. If I am doing something that doesent require me to pay much attention I start to nod off into sleep. Same thing as ashley said... you're being way too hard on yourself. School is always better when you're there to lighten the mood, go crazy, or get kicked out of the library. As for guitar, i'm not going to really comment because i'm not better than you, so i can't really judge you. However as far as i know, you have an oustanding memory of how to play songs, and thats a big part of being a sucessful musician. Jimmy hendrix steve vai aren't the only sucessful musicians- there are tons of guitarists who don't have much talent, but worked hard and made up for it. As for you having talent, well i don't really know. But i know that you've got a passion, and thats more than enough to make up for it.

Anywanys, just because you don't have a band together now doesn't mean you won't find some guys in college to jam with, or that you won't become a better guitarist in the coming years. We both know that pratice makes perfect, and if you don't keep practicing and discovering things on your own, you won't get any better. And if all else fails, you're still going to play guitar for fun. That's not a crime in my book.

College... why don't you think you'll get into a college? Even if you don't do very well in your classes because thats not where you're strong, you're one smart fucker. Hell of a lot wittier and logical than i am. I wouldn't be surprised if you do better than me on the SATs, or an IQ test. You're a quick thinker, and again very witty. Those types of traits don't leave you homeless on the streets. As long as you don't move to california... because then your chances of ending up on the streets are multiplied by about 100. As for writing, well you know i'm a big fan so its going to be biased. However, my favorite writers are not neccesarily the best writers; they are the writers with the best personalities. When you can put forth a personality and distinct tone in your writing, you tend to kick a lot of ass. And i find that when i read your journal entries, its not just rambling or bad sentence structure. Its a creative string of sentences that encompass your ideas and feelings as a writer and as a person. If people don't like it, fine. But for you to not like your writing isn't logical. As for past articles, well you've grown. I've done that too- when i write something that i like, i'll keep it and look at it at a later date. There has never been a time where i took pride in something i wrote 2 years ago, or even 2 months ago. And on the topic of writing, who says you can't be a comedy writer or something? You've got a buttload of career options that you don't even know about. Cause you know,there's like a buttload of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bowstaff.

So stop being so hard on yourself, if i didn't believe that you could be something, i wouldn't have written all this.
