If you come running back to me I'll be here waiting, 'cause I still believe in a love worth saving

01. My birthday was great. Nothing to incredibly exciting happened so I'll spare you the details. But huge hugs to Ashawee (thelackoflight) and Bonnie (girlwholoved) for their sweet cards! I love getting snail mail so it was great and totally made the day so much better.

02. The rest of this week has been spent packing and avoiding packing. Bleh. But mom and Toe officially moved this morning with the big uHaul. I'm here for the rest of the month (staying with my dad) and then I'll be gone on August 1st (a week and a half before my new school starts). Yelp!

03. I did manage to finish Inside the Mind of Gideon Rayburn the other day and was pleasantly surprised. Once I started I couldn't put it down and it's made me really miss reading the way I used to.

The story is just about a guy named Gideon who transfers to prep school and ends up in the middle of a bet between his popular roommates about when he'll loose his virginity. (It's not as chick-lit as it sounds) and the cool thing about is that it's told from this random girl's POV. Somehow she ended up inside his head and not only hears what he says and thinks, but can see what he sees and picture his memories as he thinks of them. It really adds to the book because the author dosen't focus on that point, she just kind of states it as fact and moves on, which is great because otherwise I think it would have overshadowed the great characters.

Gideon's roommates are probably my favorites because they're the rude and horrible jackasses that you just can't help but love. They're so horrible to girls and so... male, yet kind of charming because their up front about it and more complicated than they seem. Also, it's incredibly amusing because it'll be three teenage guys talking about sex and what girl's like and the girl inside Gideon's head is going 'wtf are you talking about, we don't like it when you do that thankyouverymuch' lol. It adds a cool take to it.

The only thing I didn't flat out love about the book was the ending. I loved how it worked out overall (I didn't expect it to work out the way it did - it just didn't feel like that type of book) but the last page almost ruined it for me. It didn't, but I kind of wish the author hadn't revealed who the girl inside his head was, and I don't like who it ended up being because it puts a new angle on a lot of the scenes in the book and I dunno, I think it would have been cooler if she had left up in the air. Yet once again, still a great book I'll definitely end up rereading multiple times. I definitely recommend it, it's a pretty easy read but very enjoyable. It comes off as kind of cheesy chick-lit (prep school, teenagers, virginity bets) but it dosen't really read that way at all.

04. My comments on the things everybody is talking about...
Private Practice cast change: Merrin > Audra. *thumbs down motion* Pfft.
Lindsay to play Paris in biopic: Oh geez, the mocking value from this movie alone could solve the world's energy crisis right there.
Spice Girls Reunion: When I first saw this I was not only giddy but went straight to majorly disappointed when I learned that it was a just a tour and not a new album? A new album would have been awesome. *hides behind hands*

05. Anybody have any songs from The Long Goodbyea? Or know a way to get them? I'll trade uploads if I have anything you want. I'm seriously dying for them and they're not even up for download so I couldn't buy them the legal way if I wanted to. *pouts* I especially like 'Can I Call You Mine,' it's just so pretty and heartbreakingly sad.

I'm not asking much
I don't want too much
I promise I don't ever want to get in the way
I only want to see you every day

Can I call you mine?
Can I call you mine?
Can I call you mine?
I'll only ask you once because I'm far too dignified
Can I spend forever by your side?
If your answer's no that's fine

There's also this line from 'The Leading Man' (which I really like the concept of) that goes he don't deserve you more, he just might know you a little bit better and the way the sing it with the actual line = guh. I hate getting addicted to bands who haven't made actual releases. It 'tis a pain in the ass. However, I am too apparently because I'm begging for Scott Simon's version of 'Umbrella' and 'Hey There Delilah' by The Plain White T's too. *pouts* I'm one of the few teenagers in the world that's now all into music but lately I've been totally crazed and I really want to do a upload post later.

06. Buffy Sings would be amazing. They need to go back to Chicago sometime after August 1st, because then I'll only be an hour and a half away. And it's incredibly awesome that Joss showed up and the first thing he told the crowd afterwards was “Um, you guys…Dawn’s okay," because everybody had booed during her scenes. *snickers*

07. Sam (everything_inme) is being a whore. There a bazillion things I need to talk to her about (important things!) and she is not answering her cell phone. Somebody needs to tell her she is not in the Amazon, she is in Connecticut. THEY HAVE PHONES. *huffs* And her mother's computer dosen't have AIM so I can't stalk her on there either. *huffs even more*

08. My subject line is a Plain White T's song that reminds me of Jess & Rory.

09. I'm ending on a bad number. TAKE THAT OCD. *Hits crazy person in my head*
