Gimme Your Stuff

Hi! I'm Sarah...I'm 25 years old, and live and work in Colorado. I work in higher education, and just thought this would be a fun way to see things from other cultures! I would prefer swaps with those over 20, but I'm open to any.

I can send
  • Magazines (I subscribe to Glamour, 5280 (all about Denver, Colorado), and have some issues of The Advocate, and would be willing to find others you are interested in)
  • Notepads
  • Clothing - nothing too extravagant - either purchased at a thrift shop or from something I no longer wear but is still in good condition
  • Make up - lip glosses, eye shadows...
  • Something from pop culture (will depend on what's going on in the world at time of swap)
  • Stationary
  • Craft Supplies
  • Ephemera is transitory written and printed matter, not intended to be retained or preserved. The word derives from the Greek, meaning things lasting no more than a day. Some collectible ephemera are advertising trade cards, airsickness bags, baseball cards, bookmarks, cigarette cards, greeting cards, letters, pamphlets, photographs, postcards, posters, stock certificates, tickets, and zines. Decks of personality identification playing cards from the war in Iraq are a recent example. (hey, I had to look it up, so I thought I'd help you out!!)
  • Handmade things
  • CD of music I like (I listen to almost every type of music, but can cater slightly to your musical tastes)
  • other requests, potentially...

I would like
  • Bento boxes and accessories
  • Candles & other house decorating things
  • Food from your country (alcohol is okay if it can be shipped into the US. I'm not sure about customs laws here...)
  • Authentic material from your country (for example, a glass vial of white sand)
  • Homemade jewelry/jewelry making supplies (can be made by you or made locally - preferably not mass produced)
  • CD with music that you like
  • Hand made/locally made things - I would love a tote bag
  • Buttons, ribbons, yarn, beads
  • Notepads with fun designs on them
  • Clothing (women's large in most tops, medium in "regular" tshirts. I can figure out what that is in other countries? Perhaps an inch measurement would be needed) - nothing too extravagant - either purchased at a thrift shop or from something you no longer wear but is still in good condition
  • Ephemera
  • IKEA things!!!
  • Information about what people are like in your country - I am very interested in sociology and higher education - so, college brochures, information about gender roles in your country, etc.
  • Someone who is maybe willing to continue to communicate with me in a foreign language (Spanish, French preferred, as I already have a decent background in both, but open to others)
  • Something that would completely surprise me

I prefer quality over quantity (as I saw another swapper say).

A theme swap would be fun, if someone is interested in that...I saw someone did a color theme, for example.
