Part Two

Ok, on to the rest of the story....

I called to see if anyone was in the house, and Tina came out of the downstairs bathroom. She started to say hi, and then stopped, midsentance, with "Oh...my...gosh!" She grabbed the phone and headed upstairs to get Miguel. I called my dad to let him know what had happened, and he said he would be on his way. Almost immediately I started shaking and going numb and fading out. Wanda said something about me needing to get to the hospital before I went into shock and I said, "Well, based on my past experience, I'm already in shock." So I called my dad back and told him that I needed to go THEN. Unfortunately, he was 45 minutes away. Wanda prayed with me before I called him, and after I got off the phone she offered to take me to Jenny Ed herself. Tina came with me.

About halfway there I reached back and grabbed her hand. I asked them to try and keep me awake because I was blacking out, so we spent the rest of the time talking about various things. Wanda dropped me off and in we went. I filled out the paperwork and then a nurse came and made me WALK all the way to a room. Tina was pretty livid about that, and I wasn't too please myself. My ribs felt like they were shattered and I kept having to stop because I would cough and then double over from the pain. I finally got to a room and she handed me one of those nasty gown things. Uhg. At least this time they didn't have to cut my clothes off me! That was a plus.

The nurse had to clean all the dry blood off of my face and out of the cuts to see if I needed stitches or not. It hurt so amazingly bad! All my jewelry went into Tina's pocket, and the whole time she was there I kept trying to make her laugh, but it didn't work too well. The Dr. came in and he ended up being the uncle of a friend of mine. He checked me all over, pushed and prodded everything that hurt, and sent me to get x-rayed.

Three girls took my x-rays. And THEY gave me pants! I was so excited! My nurse told me I couldn't have any. But they asked me if I wanted some and I told them that I would love them and that the gown was much to drafty for me. They laughed and proceeded to grab some for me, which I still have. They are quite comfortable. These x-rays were ever so much better than my last hospital visit, and they informed me that I was the best patient they'd had all day. That made me feel great! They wheeled me back to my room, wished me luck, and headed back to their machines.

Dr. Eliott ended up having to clean out my cuts two more times before anything was done. By clean I do not mean that they put chemicals on it. I mean that they got a washcloth wet and rubbed all the blood off. I thought I was going to scream. I just held on to the bed with all my might and curled my toes. They ended up gluing part of my eyelid instead of stitching it, and the glue is PURPLE! He said it will be here for three horrible weeks.

Anyway, I am out of time again. Tune in next time to hear all about Katrina's run in with the town depute! Until then!
