My Favourite Toy 5

Junsu had a favourite toy.
It was red, tiny and shiny. With a sharp silver blade that was ready to nick and prick your skin if you dared to touch it.

CHAPTER 5

Yoochun woke up feeling like someone had stomped over his head over and over again. Clutching his head with one hand, he wished fervently that he didn’t drink that much yesterday. But well, judging for the amount of headache he currently experienced, it was sufficient to say that he would not touch any amount of alcohol anytime soon.

After waiting for a few moments to let his headache lessen a bit until he could at least see his surroundings clearly, he was surprised to note that he was already home. The last thing he could remember last night was slumping over Jaejoong. Did it mean that Jaejoong brought him home?

Even the notion of that event to ever happen made him sick in the stomach. He could not imagine how Junsu would react if he ever know that Yoochun had betrayed him for the past 1 year, and knowing Jaejoong, he probably would lash out at Junsu as soon as he saw him.

Trying to banish such kind of thoughts which would do no good to his already pounding head, Yoochun decided to crawl his way to the kitchen. Maybe he could ask Junsu to make him some coffee to neutralize the sickness in his stomach. A hangover was never pleasant.

Just when he decided to start moving, the bedroom door opened.

“Ah Chunnie! You’re already awake?”

Yoochun could only stare with a horrified expression when he saw his boyfriend for a year standing outside the door.

“J,Joongie? What… what the hell are you doing here?!” that exclamation was instantly accompanied with a hand clutching his head whose pounding had tripled from the yelling he did.

Jaejoong immediately rushed over and chided his boyfriend for yelling stupidly. But Yoochun was not in the mood to be coddled, not even by his boyfriend. As soon as his head settled slightly, he quickly raised his head to question Jaejoong.

“Jaejoong, what are you doing here?! Where is Junsu? How come you…”

Jaejoong sighed and plopped himself beside his troubled boyfriend. He ran his fingers through his hair, trying to find the best way to tell Yoochun what actually happened yesterday. After a few seconds of contemplation, he decided that an honest explanation would be the best.

“I brought you back home last night,” His hand made a vague gesture to indicate the place they were currently staying in as the ‘home’. Yoohun only nodded, silently urging him to continue. “Well, I met your… Junsu… He let me in and asked me to stay here… I guess that he already knew about… us…”

Yoochun just blinked at the unexpected information. Junsu… he had known about his affair? And he didn’t say anything at all? No anger, no sadness, no anything? And he even asked Jaejoong to stay with him?

Junsu…  How could he still smile at him every day after he knew that he was cheating on him? How could he still treat him gently after knowing his betrayal?

He… what was he feeling now?

“Wh…” Yoochun forced his voice to come out from his dry throat. “Where is he now?”

Jaejoong shook his head. “I’ve been looking for him since I woke up, but he was nowhere in the apartment.”

With that notion, Yoochun immediately stood up although he needed to hold onto a table when a wave of dizziness and nausea hit him immediately. “I need to look for him,” he stated simply.

Jaejoong didn’t make any move to stop him. He simply stated,” Do you think you are in any condition to go out and look for him? You can barely stand still right now,”.

Yoochun growled at his body’s stubbornness when it refused to stand up straight even when he commanded it to.

His boyfriend sighed and walked to him. He grabbed a cup of hot tea from the table near him and placed it on Yoochun’s hands. “I know that you are worried about him. Here, drink this first. I’ll even offer my service to help you look for him”. He smiled.

Yoochun returned the smile and sipped the hot tea as fast as he could, feeling immensely grateful when he felt the nagging headache immediately fad after the consumption of the drink. He leaned forward to peck Jaejoong’s cheek before walking out from the room. “Thank you baby,”. He smiled in appreciation.

And he was immediately hit by a wave of guilt as he realized how many times he had thanked Jaejoong without even thinking, but how rarely he even expressed any gratitude to his own husband… whose gentleness and kindness he had taken for granted.

He forced those thoughts away. This was not the time to ponder what he had or had not done. The first thing he should do was to find Junsu. The rest… they could wait to be resolved.

The more he looked around the unit to find clues on where Junsu might be, the more worried he became. He found his husband’s wallet lying untouched inside his drawer, together with the car keys. That meant, Junsu didn’t take his wallet or drive out. A simple glance to the window told him how cold it must be outside for it was currently snowing. And that only add to his worry when he realized that Junsu didn’t even take any of his jacket or any of his boots outside.

“Chunnie?”

“Shit, damn it! Is he insane? It’s fucking below zero outside, and he didn’t even take his jacket?! Does he have a death wish or something?”

Jaejoong could only look silently as his boyfriend rummaged through the unit with an increasing anxiety by the seconds. He even managed to restrain himself from commenting on the death wish part of Yoochun’s speech, knowing that his boyfriend would not be amused if he said that he wouldn’t be surprised if Junsu would have one.

“Fuck!”

The loud expletive was out from Yoochun’s mouth as he accidentally kicked a rubbish bin when he was prancing thorough the living room. He looked down to kick on the offending object when he felt his voice died down in his throat.

It was rolls and rolls of bandage. Correction. It was rolls and rolls of bloodied bandage. To be exact, it was rolls and rolls of bandage drenched with blood. He immediately kneeled down to inspect the bandage with a sick feeling in his stomach. Junsu… Junsu must been very hurt if he was bleeding this much… and how could he hurt this bad anyway? Why did he never know? When was he hurt? What happened to him?

“Chunnie? What is… What the fuck is that?”

Jaejoong’s appalled exclamation jerked him out from the tangle of webs of thoughts inside his mind. Now he was more than worried for his husband. Injured, bleeding like hell and out with no jacket or proper shoes in this kind of weather? If anything happened to Junsu…

If anything happened to Junsu… it would be his fault.

He imagined that Junsu must be very shocked to see Jaejoong last night… He didn’t even want to know what his husband was thinking to let Jaejoong in and even invited him to stay for the night. Knowing Junsu, he would still behave that nothing was wrong. Still treated Jaejoong politely with the gentle smile of his…

God, what kind of monster he was to put his husband in this kind of situation?

With trembling hands he tried to steady himself, tried to think where his husband could go in this kind of situation. Would he go to his favourite place? His favourite place…

Where was his favourite place?

Yoochun sunk to his knees as his mind registered the dreadful fact. He didn’t even know his own husband’s favourite place!

What was his favourite food? No he didn’t know that too. Junsu always said that he loved whatever Yoochun ate, so he always ordered the same food as Yoochun. Yoochun thought that Junsu was just without any opinion.

But it was not like he ever asked him before.

What was his favourite color?

Blue? Black? He knew Jaejoong’s favourite colour was green. He always made sure that he bought gifts with shades of green… but Junsu?

He always blamed Junsu for being too passive… too obedient… to submissive that he quickly got bored of him. But did he even make an effort to know him better?

With a sinking feeling in his stomach, he realized that all of this time all of the talks of his love toward Junsu was a mere hypocrisy on his side. He loved Junsu, that much he knew. But he never made any effort to show it to him.

When they first went out together, he had asked Junsu out. Junsu was adorably shocked and embarrassed, but he had agreed. Yoochun was too happy to notice, but now he realized that it had been Junsu who accommodated him all along. He listened to his stories, smiled at him, tried his best to come up with many stories to entertain him…

But Yoochun himself never made any effort.

Because for him, falling in love with Junsu just seemed natural. Afterall, he had been obsessed with Junsu for quite some time. Never had he realized that he never worked to earn Junsu’s love for him.

And now, after he had gotten it, he took it for granted too easily. And he dismissed Junsu’s love too easily …

What kind of man he was?

How could Junsu even stay with him for all this time?

He gritted his teeth and did what he did with the other thoughts before, roughly pushing them away to the corner of his mind. Right now his priority was to find Junsu. All the rest of the problem could wait. He could beg on Junsu’s feet for forgiveness later, now what he must do was to find him…

And make sure that he’s alive

Yoochun punched the floor in frustration at the endless assault of his own thoughts to his mind. Standing up quickly, he proceeded to search through the unit, even it meant to overturn every single furniture he had.

The last place he had not opened yet was Junsu’s personal drawer which was always locked. Frustrated, Yoochun went to retrieve his hammer and pounded away the lock, hoping that he might find something useful that could lead him to Junsu’s whereabouts. Maybe a diary or a journal or…

What he found inside the drawer made his blood ran cold.
A/N Hi everyone!!! Sorry for the slow update this time... this week had been absolutely hellish for me... being dragged around the school for meetings and everything and having 3 exams to study for. hahaha... but today, everything is finally over!! (although don't ask me about how my exam went.... I refused to think about them T_T)

I had a great day today, went out with my friends to eat and watched Dear John (storyline by Nicholas Sparks) which was awesome^^!!! So yeah, I immediately went to update this story as soon as I reached home!

Also, just wanna ask... are there singapore cassies here? hahaha I'm planning to go to Korea and Japan this coming June-July holiday.... anybody interested to go together? coz I think it will be more fun to go together as cassies so we can go and visit the boys' shops and maybe stalk them etc. hhahaha
