(no subject)
Yesterday was fun! Half term started at work, and I basically spent the day in the Courtyard tent in the lovely sun chatting to customers, playing with kids and making a massive mess with a bubble sword. Ah, the things I get paid for... I also get to watch all of the shows, like the Warwick Warriors (very funny, very silly demonstration about the actual weapons and armor used in medieval times instead of the annoying shows that follow Hollywood down to the bone) and the Singing Plague victims who I'm sure go to the Warwick Folk Festival and I'm sure will get a bit annoying by the end of the week.
I also found the guts to actually ask for more information about the recent Supervisor opening at work, and I'm seriously considering applying for it. I think I've had enough of being on the lowest end of the retail spectrum, I think I'm more than ready to take on some more challanging tasks. It'll also mean I'll have more hours and better pay, so I can save up more for my trip. It was probably Mikes influence, as he pestered me about getting a better paid job so I'll be able to actually save for it instead of not commiting myself to anything.
Onto today - it was pretty good though kinda slow. Made much better by having Mike ride over on his new bike, and we decided to go to the cinema and pick out a random movie, and we chose Juno which had already started but was better than the other choices. It was actually a really sweet movie, we "awwed" lots :3 Now Im going to actually go to bed instead of dreading 9.30 start in the Kingmaker - the giftshop I thought I was free of forever... And I can look forward to Ice Skating later! :D
