Hermione returned home from work to a sight far stranger than any she could have imagined.

"Are you...reading?" she asked haltingly, unable to believe her eyes.

"No need to sound so surprised, Hermione," Ron said, idly flipping a page. "I did learn, you know."

"But...how did you...why would...what....book?" she choked out with considerably difficulty.

"I found it in Hugo's room."

"I'm sure he'd be delighted to know you'd been through his things."

"I didn't go through his things," Ron said, affronted. "I thought I heard something, and I wanted to make sure no doxies had gotten into his curtains. Hermione's skeptical glance didn't change. "Anyway," he continued, "I found this book while I was in there, and I had nothing better to do, so I picked it up."

"Mhm," Hermione said. She could just make out the title of the book in bright letters down the spine: The Book of True Facts. "'True Facts' seems a bit repetitive, doesn't it?" Ron ignored that comment.

"It's actually kind of interesting. Did you know that dolphins are just gay sharks?"

"That's not true."

"Yes it is. It says so right here, look!" Hermione grabbed the book out of his hands and flipped it around to look at the cover.

"Oh," she said, struggling not to laugh. "Did you happen to glance at the author's name when you picked up the book, Ronald?"

"No," he said, looking insulted. "It's a book of facts. The author doesn't really matter, because everything is true."

"In this case, I think the author really does matter." Ron grabbed the book back out of her hands and looked at the name Hermione was pointing too.

"Oh."

"Yes."

"Well, then."

"Dolphins are definitely their own species."

"Yes," Ron sighed. "I was trying so hard to actually learn something. To actually read a book. And I end up with one written by Gilderoy Lockhart."

"The effort was still appreciated. Even if you've now learned the random ramblings of a long gone mind. I can recommend some other good books by legitimate and respected authors, if you--"

"I think this is a sign," Ron said, cutting her off, "that I'm not meant to read books. So you can't nag be about that any more! There's a bright side to this situation after all!"
