I find it slightly ironic that I am not the only one not looking forward to going away this weekend, I am at least staying at a friends house in Newcastle, but this still does not really put me at any comfort as I am beginning to feel a little to departed from myself at the moment. I am not at a crossroads in my life, I am however deciding that enough is enough, it is time that I mixed my two lives more so that my Quaker life is really my whole, life. I have this strange inspired feeling that seems to be having trouble expressing itself. Often people ask me why I am involved with the Quakers and I can't give a full answer, but I do tend to say it is not a why question more just that I found something right for me. Just went to meeting for worship, ironically found the silent peace vigil on the steps outside the meeting for worship more calming than the meeting itself. Maybe I realised that I am finding it harder to feel comfortable when confined to a room, being outside felt liberating in some way.

I have started going to meeting for worship every Wednesday, I guess this is mainly because it is at lunchtime (13:10 - 13:40), I feel comfortable going there too which is a good thing. Like a friend of mine I have been feeling less inclined to be involved in Quaker meeting, it is funny how one meeting feels better than another in the same building ( Read more... )

So here I am again in the library, seems to be my life at the moment, but I guess it won’t last too much longer. I have been thinking about what to do when I finish, other than take a big break. I have been reading Jez's Journal A fair bit lately, something he said about belonging to a Quaker meeting hit me today, I think I am finding it hard thinking about switching meetings.
