Who is Mr. Yin?
This is out there even for me, but I can't stop speculating about Mr. Yin.
Now, this is just a theory, but I'm posting for discussion. If you think I'm completely crazy, tell me in a comment. If you see my point as crazy but perhaps has some merit, tell me that, too.
Could Mr. Yin be Shawn's mother?
Mary said Mr. Yang had an accomplice who helped Yang with her crimes that Shawn solved.
Shawn's mother was in Santa Barbara during Yang's crime spree. Yes, mom was captured and used as bait, or did she go willingly? How better to throw everyone off the trail?
The main reason I think it's possible to be Mom is the picture of young Shawn that Yin studied at the end of Evening with Mr. Yin.
This could be from the time Shawn's mother and father separated. How could a complete stranger could posses a picture like this without Shawn's knowledge?
Could Mom have left Harry for Mr. Yang? Mr. Yang's book is titled (in part) From Serial Dater to Serial Killer. Could Mom be the reason for the change?
The film Shawn and Gus are watching at the beginning of Mr. Yin Presents is Psycho iconic of the troubled mother/son dynamic. When the characters are each forced into their Hitchcock roles, Harry is given the role of the aggressive husband from Marnie.
Another interesting tidbit in favor of my argument is that Mom (Cybil Shepard) is scheduled to appear in the third installment of the Yin/Yang storyline (5.16).
I agree the Mr. Yin certainly looks like a man, and that of course means I'm completely wrong.
