So I love music everyone knows, so I was thinking the other day and today actually about how certain smells remind you of specific things in your life. I do have a point. Well for me, there are albums that make me think of different times of my life. So then I was thinking that it would be fun and a good way to procrastinate if I thought of as far back as possible all the albums that matched different years of my life.
Starting with seventh grade...
7th grade- Hanson's "Middle of Nowhere"
8th grade- Pearl Jam's "Yield" and Days of the New's brown album (or was it green?)
9th grade- Dave Matthews Band's "Before These Crowded Streets"
10th grade- Nelly Furtado's "Woah! Nelly" or Blink 182's "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket"
11th grade- Dido's "No Angel"
12th grade- I really don't know about this one...tough to say.
Freshman year- Steve Miller Band all of it
Sophomore year- DEFINATELY Coldplay all three of their album's
Junior year- It's turning out to be Zox's "The Wait" and "Take Me Home" and Flogging Molly's "Within a Mile of Home", but the year isn't over yet.
I should remark that there never goes a day when I don't listen to a Pearl Jam song, and these albums just kind of remind me of how I felt during those years, with sophomore year reminding me the most of stuff.
I am in the process of making a list of my all time favorite songs. It's long and quite complicated.
