Okay, so after much debate I've decided that my favorite Beatle is George Harrison. I like his song lyrics the best. They are different. I know that John is typically thought of as the poet, but George's lyrics are so...I don't know!! I just love them. I was bored, so I was reading Beatles lyrics online, and I came across this song and I don't know if I've ever even heard it, or maybe I have but I can't think of how it goes. It's from their seventh album "Revolver". The hits on that album were Eleanor Rigby and Yellow Submarine. But this song is different, AND it makes me think of a someone. Oh what the hell, a special someone. Unfortunately, not my special someone, which is obviously made apparent by the lyrics.
I Want To Tell You (Harrison)
I want to tell you
My head is filled with things to say
When you're here
All those words, they seem to slip away
When I get near you,
The games begin to drag me down
It's all right
I'll make you maybe next time around
But if I seem to act unkind
It's only me, it's not my mind
That is confusing things.
I want to tell you
I feel hung up but I don't know why,
I don't mind
I could wait forever, I've got time
Sometimes I wish I knew you well,
Then I could speak my mind and tell you
Maybe you'd understand
I want to tell you
I feel hung up but I don't know why,
I don't mind
I could wait forever, I've got time, I've got time, I've got time
