New creatures!

After getting all three tanks back up to snuff, we decided to add some new aquatic friends.

(*Note:  the pics below are not of our actual new fishies because they're still pretty shy and I couldn't get good pics of them; the ones I'm showing here are examples of the kinds of fish we bought)

I got a plecostomus for the 75 gallon tank whom Kevin has ( Read more... )

If only you lived closer I'd give you my Evilfish--a (now) huge convict ciclid. He kills everything else I try to put in the tank by annoying it to death. We finally got a pleco to survive (ours is Sucky) by putting a divider in the tank. I have to shift sides every week or so to let him clean. I despise that fish something fierce.

The pleco before this I thought stood a chance. I sang to him to keep him peaceful in the tank. ::singing to the tune of Peter Gabriel's Biko:: "Plee-co, Plee-co Plee-co-o-o Plee-co" I forgot the next line of the song though--damn fish was dead within a week. :-(

Plee-co. ROFLMAO I'm dyin' here Woman. Seriously. Now I have to go pee before I finish responding to you.

:::brief intermission:::

How big of a tank do you have that convict in, and what else is in there (or has he annoyed everything else to death besides Sucky)?

I love the glass cats. Let us know how they do. My big tank has so few fish left in it. I keep promising them new friends someday...

Hmmm....Paula up there is looking to unload the Evil Convict...you interested? :::snicker::: (Of course, that would still leave your tank woefully understocked as Evilfish would wipe everything else out)

So far everyone's doing fine in there. I'm going to wait a couple of weeks and maybe add a couple more to Kevin's. He's interested in some more see-through fishies.
