Searching for apartments earlier this month put me into this thought process that goes along the lines of this:
1) This apartment is fairly decent. Express interest in it NOW.
2) Make an appointment to sign a lease NOW.
3) Get together loads of money in order to sign said lease NOW.
4) Actually sign lease NOW, or someone else will sign lease two minutes from NOW.
Even though this searching process has ended, though, I continue to think in these terms. Especially with boys, so that if I see someone I like, I think: I must do something NOW or some other girl will sign his lease, and I'll be left living in housing again next year.
Hmm. That metaphor got very bizarre very quickly. I apologize.
