(no subject)
Ron has been so sweet lately. I love him. We get along well. It's just nice hanging out with him, just doing our separate things but being together. I know I sound like a dodo but it's really nice. I like in old timey movies where they show the royalty just sitting in a room each doing their own thing. I like that. He came over this morning and got in bed with me. And I almost didn't check that text message. I would've felt so sad if I had woken up at 1 p.m. and seen that. Instead he came over and we fell back asleep for like three more hours. It was so nice. He's wonderful.
South by southwest is coming up. I had a dream that I missed it because Harrison and Ron wouldn't stop playing Super Mario Brothers. I'm going with Claire and Bailey and we rented a fabulous room at the La Quinta on North I-35. I am more excited about the over all experience, the people watching, avoiding awkward situations, free drinks, margs at the Jackalope, than any one band. Although seeing The Strokes and Bright Eyes at Auditorium Shores is a good reason to go. I want to check out Surfer Blood, James Blake, Yuck, and some other bands but I won't die if I miss them. I'm just excited to have four days off and to see Austin again.
My new store is really great. Supportive general manager, nothing like that selfish unfunny a-hole JC. I had yesterday off and Ron and I spent the afternoon together. Got lunch at Empire, got a palmier cookie from that french bakery on Westheimer, watched the end of Life Aquatic, took a nap, read/played music (me/him), went for a two mile walk, got dinner from central market (their salad bar is better and less expensive than whole foods'). Really nice day yesterday. I went to the grocery store after Ron's and took Tula on a run. I feel like Ron and I haven't seen each other during daylight hours other than getting ready in the morning for work. It was really enjoyable.
Jacques gave me a 4 lb bowl of fruit this morning. I suppose it is better to munch on this than like...those pop tarts over there.
I started using the Clarisonic Mia last week ($120 on Amazon; $145 at Sephora) and I am really liking it so far. I obvi still have skin issues but my skin is much softer and somehow brighter or dewy-ish...something I can't really put my finger on has changed. The little dots on my nose and chin are disappearing (sorry that's gross). It may just be my attitude/in my head, but hopefully after two weeks things will start to clear up. Even if it doesn't cure everything, knowing that my face is super clean and free of dead skin is a good feeling.
I've watched several movies lately: Atonement, Notes on a Scandal, When Harry Met Sally, The Young Victoria, An Education, Emma, and The Way We Were should arrive manana.
I started my application for U of H and did a lot of preliminary research for St Thomas and UH. St Thomas's two biggest drawbacks are the million hrs of religion classes I'd have to take and the cost; U of H's two biggest drawbacks are that its in the ghetto and a girl got kidnapped from there the other day, according to Claire. GLLLLLLLLL. Obviously I will just go where I get a better deal slash where ever I am accepted!
