summary. castiel is...adjusting to life as a resident of smallville.
timeline. after episode 100.
When he had been "discovered" it wasn't really a subtle way to appear for most people. For normal people. But apparently it was something that happened quite frequently in Smallville, Kansas. Not exactly the man appearing naked and in the middle of a crowded area from seemingly out of no where. But more so something weird happening for the week. Castiel, of course, ignored most of the people once he'd gotten out of the hospital. His body was taking...too long to heal that meant that his grace was fading if not already gone by now. Truth be told that was more Earth shattering than learning his way around the small town that seemed easier to navigate then the towns that Dean and Sam seemed to visit most of the time. When he was allowed to leave the hospital (even if the hospital hadn't really released him yet. There was this thing about him thinking he was an angel), Castiel had all but gone on the search to maybe find an answer as to why he was brought there instead of somewhere else entirely. Even if it was leading him no where extremely fast.
He'd been...thankful when it came to the people of the town it seemed. The people he'd met had been so open to accepting anyone who came there that didn't try to kill them first that he'd even gotten somewhere to stay until (Dean) someone came to take him home. Needless to say, he hadn't exactly tried explaining it to anyone else that he was an angel. There was something Dean had told him once about tact that he felt like he needed to practice in this scenario as he walked his way through town. He was glad for the most part, people didn't seem to attach him to the idea of the man who had caused a bit of a stir a little while ago in the coffee shop that he was currently standing in front of. For the most part, he didn't see it as a bad thing. He hadn't been harmed in anyway...the other angels seemed to be more preoccupied with the coming apocalypse then the one who had crossed them when it came to his agreement with the Winchesters but that was beside the point it seemed. At the moment, he just wanted to get what Martha had sent him out to get because Cas sitting in a chair most of the day because he didn't know what to do was...apparently rather annoying.
Cas glanced at the list of things he needed to get at some store before back up at the Talon. He supposed he could be a little late as he stuffed it into his pocket before entering the coffee shop and walking over to the counter.
