Writing 2007 meme

Dec 30, 2007 14:37

Here's what I wrote this year, at least the bits that turned out postable. There are loads more that never made it off my hd and should never have seen the light of day anyways.

  • A Helping Hand - Doctor Who (1,019 words), gen

It's a AU-missing-scene from the episode 'Smith and Jones' and that although very short doesn't even manage to stick to canon for all its measly ~1000 words. This could easily fit into the category of things that shouldn't have been written in the first place, much less posted in a place where everyone can see them.

  • Judicium Aquae Frigidae - Doctor Who (1,069 words), gen

The Doctor is accused of sorcery. Lacking an actual plot, this is pretty much pure h/c (although with more comfort than I usually write). What makes it noteworthy is that it probably took more research than everything else I wrote this year combined.

  • The Lost - Doctor Who / Stargate Atlantis (18,179 words), gen

The Doctor and Rose take a trip to the Atlantis of the Stargate universe. Of course, Sheppard meets his match in form of the TARDIS and Rodney isn't impressed either ;-) Probably my favourite story of the year!

  • Past Present - Without a Trace (completed 2007) (33,513 words), Sam/Jack, Sam/Martin, Sam/OMC

Messy effort at exploring Samantha Spade's past. Regrettably, the show has turned her into a slut, but she doesn't came off much better in this story.

  • Musings of a Blue Box - Doctor Who (551 words), gen

Very short piece from the POV of the TARDIS.

  • Exit Strategy - Stargate Atlantis (807 words), gen

Uhm. No idea really what that was all about. Sheppard does heroics. Again.

  • Keeper of the Mind - Doctor Who (10,610 words), gen

Probably the worst offering of the year as it simply doesn't make any sense. Jack and Rose get into trouble because they disturbed a religious ceremony. The Doctor attempts to rescue them only to get into even more trouble with the natives.

  • Indestructible - Doctor Who (1,019 words), gen

Post-ep for '42'.

  • Burden of Answering - Supernatural (574 words), gen

Post ep for IMTOD.

  • Ghosts - Supernatural / Wire in the Blood, (~12,000 words, edits ongoing), gen

Crossover between two fandoms that have pretty much nothing in common. Crack.

  • Journey Man - Doctor Who / Torchwood (~36,000 words, edits ongoing), gen with some hints at canon pairings/li>

AU x-over that I wrote for NaNoWriMo.

Total wordage: ~120,000 words
