Relevance: A copy of this letter, addressed to Malfoy Manor, was given to Auror Thompanius Foreger by the Budleigh Babberton Owlmaster, who was rewarded 12 Galleons for Giving the Ministry Information On Suspected Death Eaters and fined 10 for Tampering With the Mail.
It is dated six months before the birth of Draco Malfoy, and less than three weeks before the announcement that Potions Master Horace Slughorn would not return to Hogwarts that September.

if at all possible use a hawthorn pestle in a bloodstone mortar--and (crossed out: wai) tell your friend to *wait* for my return to start brewing if she has questions. I dearly hope the wait will not now be long.
