Brilliant!!!!!

Tonight I learned something new.

OK... not really NEW so much as confirmed something that I was always pretty sure about.

And that my friends is: Runners are supposed to be worn WITH socks. Especially if your goal is to actually RUN in them...DUH!!!

Tonight we went to the gym after dropping Christian at football practice.

When I arrived at the gym, I realized that I had forgotten my water bottle.... CRAP!!!!!
But David was very sweet and said he would share his with me :) 
Then I took my flip flops off and realized that I forgot my SOCKS!!!! Unfortunately David only brought one pair :(
But I decided that these two things were not going to stop me... my legs are working just fine..  made it to the gym... and gosh darn it, I am going to get that work out in!!!!!

One and a half miles in my feet were KILLING me!!! I felt the blisters forming and burning!!! So I did what most sane people would do... I paused the treadmill, took off my shoe and wrapped brown paper towel around my foot!!! Then I put the runner back on and ran another 1.2 miles before the pain became unbearable!!!

I like to think that I WON the battle of the gym ('cause it is HARD to get my butt there somedays)... but today I think I may have lost... due to the way my feet still feel :P

So... Now I know for certain... running shoes are meant to be worn with socks :P
