I don't think you're being unreasonable. But then, I've sent an extra pair of pants, shorts, long and short sleeve shirts, onesie, socks and shoes to Kate's sitter everyday she's gone (including through the winter). I'm pretty sure I've sent Kate in some warmer than normal stuff because OUR house is so cold, but I always admit it to Kathy (our day care provider) and tell her to strip her down as she sees fit. And she does.

There's no telling with some parents.

I don't think you're being unreasonable.
Personally I would head to value village and pick out the ugliest short outfit I could find and put that on him every day and send pictures of him in it home with him. But then I'm passive aggressive :D
