Mere dilemma....

SO anyone who knows me knows that I tend to be 'thrifty'.
I LOVE a good deal, and if that means purchasing something a year in advance... then so-be-it.

But by being pro-active I have placed myself in a bit of a dilemma.

I think if you have the time to make them and it's something YOU enjoy doing, then make them. Or, you could do what I do, and only make them for a select handful of people (oh no, the secret's out) and send the box cards to the people you feel obligated to send cards to but don't really care what they think of them. Or, you could do the other thing I do, and make a lot of the same card and send them out, it's easier to make in bulk.

BUT I think that if you have no desire to do this, then I'm all for selling them or giving them away (after you've let me see them and given me first dibs on buying them).

And NO, I don't think it's vain to want people to like your cards. I take satisfaction in knowing that people appreciate the effort I've put into making or choosing their card AND I notice when people send me cards that are either made, chosen from a shelf (like the birthday card rack - the ones you can't buy in bulk) or look like they were significantly pricier than most of the generic cards I get.

If you decide to make them, send your box cards out this year and start making them in the New Year for 2009. Then you can make a few a month and not be overwhelmed next November.
