Off to the Con!

My appointment with Paul Duncan went pretty well. I had forgotten how much he looked like a young Bill Gates - complete with high-pitched voice! He's balded a bit since the last time I saw him, but otherwise he's the same.

He thinks my knee is probably strained or pulled badly and recommends that I purchase one of those neoprene knee braces and lay off the sports, instead do some swimming or gym work. After every man's favorite part of a check-up, I had my blood drawn and enjoyed a late lunch of Vietnamese in Chinatown.

I always forget how much I miss Boston whenever I'm away from it.

Goodbye Cruel World! I am off to Anime Boston and you wont hear from me for three days, during which I will be exposed to some of the most horrific scenes imaginable (bad Cosplay) and constantly in mortal danger (fanboy/girl types). Working security at any Anime Convention is hazardous work (to say the least), but I voluntarily accept the danger and instead embrace the danger - its bizarre challenges and situations I will face in the coming days. Rest assured, gentle readers, that the dangers are very real the rewards (uhh, nevermind) are great and many.

If all goes well, I'll have some good stories to share and we can all laugh about how funny these 'human being' things are. Goodnight and good luck.
