The insanity of obsessive commodity

Do you ever wonder if the reason why people reject positivity, self-help, and motivation is because not only do they lack it but because it has been so commodified in our society?

We have no real guides, no real wise-men, no real community, no real, consistent expertise from real people without a catch.

Our guides are career-oriented pen-pushers, our wise-men are business gurus and talk-show hosts, our community is the club/bar/bong/keg/water-cooler/internet, our expertise has a price-tag, and its basis is supply, demand, and financial security. I ask you, were humans really built for this?
