I don't understand these people...
The people who start ship wars. I just don't get it.
I was on a forum once, and we ended up talking about pairings. As we all know, this is a really terrible idea. At one point, I stated that I'm not a big fan of FrUK. And those were my exact words. I didn't bash, I didn't elaborate, but in the end I was flamed extensively, accused of being a rabid USUK fangirl who tries to force her thoughts on everyone else (and I'm not a huge USUK fan either), and the people who started the fight in the first place blamed me and the people who vouched for me for starting the argument in the first place.
I mean, what. Why.
Like, my OTP is Spamano. I get that some people don't like the pairing. I understand their reasons for not liking the pairing if they explain. I have no problem with people who don't like it or ship it, and I have no problem with the fact that they don't like it or ship it. If someone told me that they don't like Spamano, I wouldn't start a huge flame war over it. What's wrong with sharing your opinion in a respectful way?
So, long story short, why do people have to start huge wars over non-offensive comments? Why can't we just get along with stuff like this?
