[mod post] Mod Nominations
Anyone interested in a mod position, please nominate yourself for election here.
We need TWO new mods.
Moderator duties include but are not limited to:
1.) Approving/denying discussion topics (entries) added to the posting queue of hetalia_wank based on:
a.) Relevence to the community.
b.) Whether or not they've been discussed before.
2.) Alerting commenting users to rules they've broken and administering the appropriate punishment fairly and without bias.
3.) Responding to inquiries and complaints from users regarding the community and the proceedings therein.
4.) Otherwise upholding the community rules to the best of your abilities.
To be eligible for a moderator position, you must:
1.) Be a LiveJournal user for at least six (6) months.
2.) Be a member of hetalia_wank.
3.) Have a basic understanding of LiveJournal's technical functions (posting entries and comments, freezing comment threads, etc.).
4.) Be willing to treat all users, logged-in or otherwise, with tact and respect while carrying out your duties as a moderator.
5.) Have at least a few hours a week to devote to your position.
When you apply, please include your:
1.) Time zone.
2.) Time availability (i.e. - How often will you be able to log in, approve/deny posts, read through comments, etc.?).
3.) Any experience you may have had moderating a community in the past.
4.) How long (roughly) you've been a member of hetalia_wank.
Both new moderator positions will be decided by vote.
You have until midnight on Tuesday night, October 5th, 2010, EST, to submit your applications to this post.
Comments are not screened so that users may become familiar with the qualifications of their candidates until the election is held.
