Crescent used to be my favourite until I found FJ, so, that's one option. The commission's a flat 500 yen (about $6.25) as long as the item cost is under 4000 yen. So yeah, it's painful since you're paying more than double the cost if the auction's under 500 yen to start, but, that's what deputy services are.
Probably the best feature here is they allow you to bid far more than you've deposited. The downside to that is you can't use any of your deposit to pay.

Alternately, SOS Japan has only an 8% commission rate. I've never used it, so I can't tell you if it's reliable, but it's still a low-ish price?

Japamart is YJ exclusive, but the commission prices are in USD so you have a better idea of what you're paying. $5 for auctions under 2500 yen, $8 for auctions under 5000 yen.

They're not as good as FJ by any means. but. Unlike Treasure Japan, you can bid outside of business hours. so. There's that.

I checked SOS Japan. Its rate is 8%...as long as it's not under 1500 yens; their minimum fee's 1500 yens /orz

Crescent was the cheapest I found, but Japamart seems slightly cheaper. I'll check that one, thanks! :)

;n; I guess I didn't see that when I made my list.
.__. There's really no beating FJ. Unless the item you want is doujin.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you trying to get, anyway? :O Depending on rarity, there miiiight still be some around when I need to make my July FJ box to get some things off Animate. So worst case, we can split a box with one of my friends?

http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n92400661 <- This little baby. It's a rarity, since it wasn't sold on stores, but...it's been for a couple of weeks already, so I guess it can last longer.

Only problem is that I don't live in the States, so usually group buys are more expensive for me than buying it myself >>

Alternately, be like me and beg your friends that do have credit cards to make an FJ box for you.

My offline friends don't own credit cards either, and I don't feel really confident to ask for such favor to my online friends /orz

So, I don't know if you'll be interested, but I have a running deposit with FJ right now, and I can bid on your items for you and get FJ to send them directly to you? Only if you're comfortable, that is. :) /misuses her credit card like mad ^____^

Alternatively, I don't know whether it works in your country but can you purchase a prepaid/reloadable credit card? We had some event that I managed to procure a free one and it's been vastly handy (until it expired). xD

Is that possible, for them to be shipped directly to me? If so, I'm interested :)
These are the items I'm eyeing. All of them from the same seller, and all of them have around 20 hours left.

I saw that prepaid cards are quite the common thing in the States, but they're almost unheard of in my country ): Banks only offer them if you have an account with them...

Ah,

threadjacking, I know, but.

Since the listing says it's R18, FJ won't purchase that. Or, well. Supposedly they'll purchase it, but not ship or refund.

o_o That sucks, specially because...I have that doujinshi in an anthology, and it's perfectly PG-13 xD It's not even labeled as R18 in the cover. Seller failure >.
