Thank you for sharing this video.
Although we don't know how credible the sources of this video are, we need to see beyond that and look into what it's really trying to tell us: change needs to happen now.
It's telling us to look into the finer lines of the constitution, the one that was made during Cory's time, the one that is still being used today.
Personally, I don't like Cory as our leader, but I cannot blame her. She was shoved into the President's seat. I mean, think about it, you were perfectly happy with your life, then suddenly your husband dies and the rest of the country expects you to take the seat? I assume she refused, but for some reason she ended up in the position anyway and had to show face for it. Her beloved husband died, so she thought she had to put a strong, hopeful front forward. But of course, being a housewife, she had to oblige to letting the other members of the government draft and finalize the constitution for her, thus the oligarchs taking control once more and other horrible things with gaping loopholes in them made for people with the money to abuse.
And another thing I'd like to point out is what Ninoy said about Marcos.
"Marcos will keep me alive, because the moment I die, I am a martyr, like Martin Luther King, and he wouldn't want that."
It's true, why would Marcos kill him when he had plenty of time to? Why only when in broad daylight when he had plenty of opportunities when he was in jail, when talking to him privately, when he was on that plane to America so he could be saved?
Alas, we may never truly know who or why Ninoy was killed, but what's done is done. Now, even Marcos himself lies in his grave. I wonder what his last thoughts were....
The truth hurts, it does. But it supposed to call us to action, not scare the living daylights out of us (although I can't blame you for being extremely overwhelmed about this. It is, after all, a slap in the face for those who have never really put much thought into this before)
If it makes you feel any better, we're not the only country screwed with our government. All countries have their own dirty little secrets and the desire to keep them. We are not alone in this struggle for honesty, justice and transparency. You simply posting this is one step closer to that.
And since this is the internet, things get around fast. Again, what this aims to do is to make us, the youth, think about what really went down, what needs to be done and what we can do for ourselves and for the future. We learn from the past, do what we need to do in the present so we could have a better future.

THANK YOU!!! for stating your opinion :D and it's okay~ the longer the better ;)
anyway our history has a lot of mysteries. im just kinda upset that we're blaming innocent people (or not....no one can actually tell) i wish i was smart enough to understand it all D:
and it also upset me because i don't know about it. i mean... they didn't taught it in full details in my school (or is it because i never finished high school in Philippines?)
but all i want is the truth that our government might be hiding from us. maybe this is the reason why our country is messed up?
i might be a little young to say this but what the heck? i wanna save our beloved country!!! i just hope a lot of people cared...poor and rich.
im sorry...im bad at this DX but i really want an improvement

Well, history and a nation had always had some sort of roller-coaster aksgjkalgjdkls relationship with each other, so it's really complicated. It's not just us, the rest of the world as well.
The schools are never going to teach something this controversial, so it's not because you didn't finish school here, that's for sure.
We all want truth, we all want improvement, we all want prosperity and peace. Sadly, our government is too twisted for that. People here aren't educated enough to elect the proper people to hold those high positions, which in turn makes them abuse the power. Then the vicious cycle repeats itself, leaving us plunging lower and lower.
I'm really happy to hear that you really care about the Philippines! :D At least I know there's one amongst others who wants to do something about the situation here. We can't just hope, we have to take the necessary actions that are within our boundaries. Even if we're small as individuals, we can make it big if we band together after all.
No no! No need to be sorry! XD Be proud of yourself because you took the bold step in posting this :D
