Francis sat in the back of the auditorium, reclined exaggeratedly with an arm over the back of the chairs to his left and right. To each side sat two cute little numbers whose names Francis failed to remember. Such things were trivial, anyway. They were all the same when it came down to it.

He sighed and stared at the ceiling in boredom whilst playing with the silky brown hair belonging to the girl to his left. When will this guy shut up? Opening ceremonies were always so boring, but this year he was more antsy than usual. Having only just returned from a lovely vacation in Marseilles, he hadn't had time to catch up on fundamental things, such as gossip and harassing Arthur.

Francis did not have to be told twice--as soon as they were dismissed, he was out the door, not even caring enough to see if his new potential toys were with him. There were more important things! Like good wine, hopefully. Beer would be okay, given it wasn't American, but really, wine by far surpassed any type of beer.
Francis didn't make a beeline for the ( ... )

Arthur Kirkland had never been a man to simply enjoy mingling with other people. He preferred the seclusion of his dorm room more than anything else, but he very well knew that he would simply not be allowed to do this. His calculating emerald gaze swept over the students shoved together in the auditorium, their eyes either focusing on the professor in the front, off to the side, or on the ground. The student's hushed whispers all around him began to grate on Arthur's nerves and it was never too difficult to make the Brit snap. He was constantly waiting for an opportunity to let his anger loose, to twist those kid's oh so confident egos until there was nothing more of them. The young seemed to have no respect towards anyone these days, it was truly a shame ( ... )

Francis scanned the developing crowd for a moment before settling his gaze upon the fine ass of a blond a few metres away. He found that he was partial to blonds--but of course, he was blond himself, and anything reminiscent to himself was a turn-on. Naturally, he was interested in those who weren't blond as well, given they were aesthetically pleasing ( ... )

Arthur could already foresee that this next year in Hetalia U would not be as. . . enjoyable as he was hoping for. While he did have his dorm room all to himself for the moment, he could not be certain that this will persist for long. He hoped it did though, but it was a lost hope. Arthur's luck had run too long in the university when it came to dorm rooms, never having to room with any other student. If this was the case, then the British male would never of had the privilege of being considered as one of the most socially inept students in the university. Who was to blame him though? Almost everyone in here were out of their bloody minds, with only a few exceptions hidden amongst the metaphorical lines. His classes were not atrocious, but he did have that horrid American Prose class that Alfred somehow eased him into taking. He did not want to read that pathetic excuse of literature and Arthur was to blame for this as well, he was the one who was much too easily persuaded. He will just have to step up his stinginess later ( ... )

"Insults? I don't know what you're talking about. I'm merely telling you the truth from the goodness of my heart, chéri." Francis smiled and ran a hand through his hair before sitting beside the Englishman. He knew fully well that this non aggressive act would infuriate Arthur more than something like a punch to the face.

Francis people-watched for a moment before looking back at the Englishman. "You really should be more polite, Sourcils. I'm going out of my way to try to improve your well-being and make you a little less hard on the eyes, and this is how you treat me!" He sighed exaggeratedly and feigned hurt. He was constantly trying to get Arthur to something about those dreadful eyebrows. "That isn't gentlemanly at all." He clicked his tongue and continued. "What's going to happen once that attitude of yours drives me off? You'll be friendless."

Arthur stared at Francis from his peripheral vision, emerald eyes calculating the Frenchman with a downturn of his lips. Oh how bloody wonderful this day will be. Barely out of the auditorium and he already had the privilege to see a long time acquaintance. Arthur would rather keep their relationship as such, stating that he was one of the people that he disliked would simply give Francis encouragement as well as claiming as if they were friends. He would rather much stay neutral in all of this, though the other man had the ability to easily grate at his nerves. This is one of those times ( ... )

Francis smiled broadly and touched Arthur's wrist in a manner that could easily be misconstrued as loving. "Mais, ami, we have known each other since we were in diapers. We attended school together, did activities outside of school together. We even had sleepovers." He didn't bother mentioning that such events were done out of convenience for their parents. Francis remembered throwing countless tantrums whenever it was decided that Arthur would spend the night or vice-versa. "And look at us now--we attend the same university, and we still spend so much time together. I'll even bet that you signed up for the same courses I did."

He leaned over, covering Arthur's hand with his, entwining their fingers. With only centimetres separating his lips from the Englishman's ear, Francis lowered his voice to a husky whisper. "If that does not a friendship, pray tell, what kind of relationship do we have?"

If there was one attribute about Arthur that he had the privilege to have, or maybe to his own disdain, it was his memory. He could vividly imagine many moments throughout his childhood, both good and bad. While most of the time, these memories would only prove to motivate Arthur to get pissing drunk, it also helped him remember the reasons as to why these events happened in the past. So, as his reply, the Englishman's lips twitched down into his infamous scowl, eyes flickering with annoyance ( ... )

Francis smiles sweetly. Irritating Arthur was so entertaining. He always reacted just the way Francis wanted him to, and the Frenchman didn't even have to try hard to induce these reactions. "That's not how I remember it. We used to have so much fun together." He nuzzled the side of the Englishman's neck before he continued. "You've always denied things, so it's not so surprising..."

Francis wasn't fazed when Arthur jerked his hand away. It simply amused him, especially the squeeze. (That action so betrayed the 'I hate you' act he was trying to pull!) He had a feeling his amusement was about to end with Arthur, so he made the best of the few moments that remained before the Englishman snapped.

With his hand now free, he gently grabbed the Englishman's chin and forced him to look at him. He pressed a chaste kiss to Arthur's lips before casually scooting away. "You'll even deny that you liked that, but I know you did, mon amour."

Arthur leaned away from Francis when he began to nuzzle into his neck and he could not help but make a soft grunt in warning. His patience was wearing down more quickly than he anticipated, dwindling down until it was nothing more than just metaphorical dust in the air. While Arthur tended to deny many things, such as the fact that he was truly a punk deep inside though he hid it under a facade as a gentleman, this was one of the things that was quite true to his heart. Francis' and Arthur's definition of fun varied drastically and his childhood was nothing but horrors and pranks being played. Of course he was not always this pathetic, most definitely not ( ... )

Arthur couldn't have played more beautifully into Francis's hands! It took everything Francis had to not laugh in his face right there. Wait, what was stopping him? Nothing! He let his lovely voice ring out into a soft chuckle. "Whatever you say, mon ami. I have a feeling regardless of what you do, this year will be quite enjoyable."

He knew it was time to back off unless he wanted to get his face punched in. And even though fighting with Arthur was almost as fun as this was, the Frenchman wasn't too keen on getting his precious face bruised and bloodied. He gave the Englishman his bedroom eyes and purred a sweet 'I'll be seeing you' before walking off to find someone else to play with.

Antonio didn't pay attention to the world around him most of the time. He just lives his life, without bothering anyone and hoped anybody would bother him either. He didn't even realize when something was wrong unless the sings were very, very clear. He was kind of a KY, unable to read the atmosphere.

He wasn't paying real attention to the people, just doing his work with a bright smile and humming a Spanish song that never failed to cheer him up to himself.

"Y eso es lo que quiero, besos, que todas las mañanas me despierten beeesos..."Ah, it was such a beautiful day today. The new students seemed to be nice, there were some cute additions (there was this shivering little guy that was specially cute! And what about the oe with the headphones? Baww...) and he was sure he would be able to have a few laughs with his old friends ( ... )

Somewhere far across the crowd of students, obnoxiously loud rock music came vibrating up and out of a pants pocket. Only a few steps away from the drink table with his new beer in hand and - unknowingly - minutes from disaster, Gilbert let the ring tone play through, dancing to the music. He knew just about how many rings whoever was on the other end would hear about midways the song, and waited that long to dig his phone out.

A thumb swiped across the front screen, lighting the name up on the display. Huh..Antonio calling him wasn't all that strange. But he hadn't seen the other boy at all during the assembly. Was he even on campus yet? Of course, he had to be...so why hadn't Gilbert found a pair of skinny arms squeezing the breath out of his lungs yet? Gilbert shrugged, flipped the phone open, and practically sang out a greeting: "Antonio~!"

Antonio waited patiently for Gilbert to answer the phone. One tone, two tones...thre-hey, were was Gilbert...? He began to worry. He had newssss (he would probably forget if he didn't tell them asap). He knew he had to be there. I twas the day of the opening ceremony!... and there was food. Gilbert never said no to free food... well, who did? You should never reject something fre-

Oh, he had answered...

GILBERT~~!That overdone greeting was accompanied by waving even if Gilbert wasn't able to see it through the phone. Some nerby students turned around curiously, arching an eyebrow at the weird young janitor, but soon stoped paying attention to him and kept with their conversations while eating ( ... )

The first half of Antonio's amped-up ramblefest, Gilbert missed because he had taken the phone away from his ear and was staring at it, wondering when it was going to start leaking rainbows and glitter, and if his ear would ever recover. But he smiled through the pain. It was nice hearing Antonio's voice again, even magnified as it was. The semester break hadn't gone well for him and though they'd seen each other barely two days ago, the familiarity was a comfort.

He let Antonio continue his story-telling for awhile, interjecting the occasional 'uh huh' and 'wow, really?' whenever he could, just because it was cute hearing him all excited. By the time he got to the part about the Italies, though, Gilbert had to speak over him. "A-Antonio, Antonio..I'm really glad to hear you like your new job. And no, I haven't seen Lovino or Feliciano, but..but whatever news you have, I'll make sure to tell them. But you gotta tell me first."

He almost facepalmed

"Truee sorry sorry... you should stop me every time I bable like this. I don't mean to! It just happens and I don't want to be boring. If I'm boring people will ignore me more than what they already do... why do they ignore me that much?! I don't like when they do. You'll never ignore me, right, Gilbert?" He didn't wait for an answer "'course you won't, because we're friends... Friends don't do that to each other. I once read a book abo-"

He facepalmed again.

"Sorry! Sorry so... guess what?! I saw Francis kissing somebody!.... ookay I know that's not a great news BUT! The shocking thing is the person he kissed... " He waited a little for dramatic efect (aka 2 seconds) and added a sound efect..."ARTHUR! Fusososo, so cute... now now, what do you think? I think they are dating. So cute!..."
