Al was pretty lucky when it came to security. Due to his wide array of acquaintances, he could probably slip out of any situation and head to another person’s dorm-not tonight, of course, he’d take responsibility for all the awesome that was to go down-and the campus police sort of knew him, so he was all right with them. Since a few of his friends were well over 21, he could get them to store… whatever it was that he couldn’t store in his own dorm room. All of this plus a natural talent for getting out of tight situations was handy when it came to this campus. He liked to pride himself on stuff like that. People skills, you know, when book-smarts aren’t as available.

“Cool. There’ll probably be beer, not bad stuff either, but I can’t promise anything expensive, ‘cos my personal funds are shit.” An elegant way of putting it. “If you want wine or champagne, you’ll have to go to Francis, and if you want REALLY good German beer, go see Ludwig or Gilbert. Everyone else… I dunno, actually.”
He’d have to find out. That wouldn’t be too difficult. What was college, if not a place to socialize?

Hey! Looked like this guy was actually interested in coming! That was another success-not a notch in his notebook, because Alfred didn’t do things like that, but another possible person to wave at in the halls or annoy for the notes he’d missed. He still had to find out if they shared any classes. If they didn’t, there was always the next semester.
He hoped what he had would live up to expectations. Personally, he liked American beer, but that was only because he hadn’t been constantly exposed to something of better quality. Nothing wrong with a good standard American lager, in his opinion. Francis refused to house anything like Pabst Blue Ribbon, so he went along with his somewhat snobby guidance.

“Huh… it should be around eight, I guess. This picnic thing is open until then. You know your way around campus, right?” Alfred asked, forgetting for a moment that this young man was the same year as he.

Okay, well. That was weird. People had treated him like that before, so Al was able to brush it off with a shrug and look for someone else to talk to. And if this Willoch guy had said he’d be there-or hinted, at least-that was pretty much a good thing. Maybe he’d tell his friends to come with him, even if it was so he wouldn’t have to stick around talking to Alfred’s friends. He wondered, for a minute, whether Haakon did have any people he wasn’t this rude and cold to. Hmm, it was kind of impossible to be here and not have friends… at least, that’s what Alfred thinks, never having been in a situation where he was lonely for long.

Ehh, he’d have to tell Yong Soo that there’d be more people attending than they’d originally planned. It was usually the case, anyway.
