As students brushed past him with trays filled with corndogs, Roderich could not help but grimace. Lately, the cafeteria specials had become nothing more than greasy, fried excuses for food, and Roderich's stomach was wearing thin on eating such utter garbage. Glancing over the large crowds, Roderich noticed a booth, covered in signs that was being occupied by a very familiar face. Blinking, Roderich squinted to be sure that he was not mistaken, and sure enough, it was indeed the angry composure of Vash Zwingli ( ... )

Vash was tearing up a few pieces of paper as Roderich came up, causing him to not fully notice him. He couldn’t believe he had been drawing stupid little pictures again. The only reason he had been drawing in the first place was to keep himself from focusing on all of the other annoyances around him, but did his drawings have to come out so… nevermind. He wasn’t even going to think about it ( ... )

Aww, I love Vash's cute drawings! austrian_medley January 5 2010, 22:58:08 UTC
Although Roderich managed to keep his face stoic, he could not help but feel slightly hurt at Vash's sharp words. To be completely honest, Roderich had not expected any different; long gone were the days when the two of them would hold light conversation about various topics of little or no importance ( ... )

In all honesty, Vash didn’t typically think before he spoke. He had no reason to attempt to placate anyone, so it just made sense that he would simply speak his mind. Naturally that meant if someone annoyed him, they’d end up hearing something terse. Since Roderich frustrated more than anyone, his roommate rarely got anything kind ( ... )

Roderick's normal stern face changed into one of slight surprise. He had not expected Vash to answer with more than one or two words, never mind actually show interest in his question. Inside, Roderick felt slightly warmer; perhaps this meant that there was a chance of restoring their friendship. However, Roderick realized, that line of thinking seemed ridiculous from an outside view. Vash was not some sort of teenage girl trying to play mind games with other people. It was perfectly valid for him to ask Roderick about his actions ( ... )

So sorry about the error! swissgunrunner January 26 2010, 23:39:27 UTC
Vash nodded along as he listened to the Austrian's response, trying to look uninterested. It was a pretty long winded reaply, he hadn't really been asking for Roderick's life's story. It was so typical too. Of course Roderick would think he was much to good for the same food that everyone else bought. The dainty man would probably get sick if he ate something that wasn't cooked by some overpriced chef. Not to say that the food in the cafeteria was of any quality, especially not for how much you paid. Vash couldn't believe the prices he had seen when he had went there, definetly not getting your money's worth. But that was completely different than the reason Roderick didn't approve ( ... )
