So this is basically my first translation of a Hetalia song. and. Probably fail OTL;;; Please correct any and all mistakes you see, anywhere. Thank you fujiryo4ever for the scans.
I can't imagine that you fail. At least it can't be possible because of all the work you did. Awesome! Thank you so much. I love those lyrics *3* It fits the song I've selected for him for my second fst! *happy*
I'm wondering if "ope" is a typo, because in the booklet there's katakana below it that pronounces it as "ゴーレ", which, I guess, would be "горе". But, then again, I don't speak Russian... it's just a guess. XD;
With the comma, Google translate puts it as "grief is not the sea, drink to the bottom". But, then again, Google trans isn't *always* accurate.
Горе не море выпьешь до дна (Gore ne more vyp'esh' do dna) - fix'd. The first word spelled wrong in the booklet. .__. And that means something like "Grief is not a sea, you can drink it to the dregs".
Well, that sounds like a saying or just a literary metaphor, but not the common one, I never heard it before. To put it in a simple words, that means like "It's possible to endure any grief". I believe that the lyrics authors just took it from somewhere. In English it's probably sounds odd, but in Russian it's pretty angsty, and of course nobody use such a phrase in daily life. =)
