Author!anon is blushing~ Thank you very much~ And as for Nation A, I have decided, but it will be a surprise.

----------------------------------------

Russia decided it was best to excuse himself and his sister from England’s flat as Canada started to wash himself up. Their voices drifted back through the hall as they left. “I still do not see how you thought it tasted funny. It tasted perfectly fine to me!” “You did not taste the tea from the same cup as I did, braht! If you did then that would prove that he was trying to poison you!”

A sigh escaped England’s lips and he went about cleaning. Honestly, you would think she had never tried tea before… A few soaked magazines were tossed over his shoulder and instead of hitting the bin, hit a Canadian. “Sorry about them.”

England turned around and blinked at Canada, how had finished wiping the tea off himself and the table. “There’s no need to apologize for them, I know you have nothing to do with them.”

He scratched the back of his head. “I know… I just thought I should since I know that they will never.”

With a quick nod, England turned back to his task. “Well, thank you, Matthew. I appreciate it.”

Canada smiled a little. It had been a long time since he had heard anyone call him that without having to spend ages thinking of the name. He started to help England put some things away, figuring that it was the least he could do.

The alarm clock in Canada’s hotel room had a hollow sounding ring the next morning. Deciding to ignore it, he pulled a pillow over his head and stared at the window, hoping to fall asleep again. It was drizzling outside and it sounded different to him. Perhaps it was the way the building was built, but something about it sounded uniquely British and it made him smile faintly. Yawning and stretching, he decided that it would be a futile battle to get to sleep with the rain. When he pulled the sheets back, however, he froze.

There was a pair of feminine legs laying on his bed. Blinking, he tried to remember if anything unusual happened. Maybe he got drunk and brought a girl back? Maybe one of the female nations got drunk and stumbled in here? Maybe something happened and a girl got scared?

The odd thing, though, was that her legs were the only pair on the bed, and when Canada twitched his toe, the girl’s toe twitched. There was only one thing to do. Scream. The pitch of his… or should we say, her, voice was much higher than normal and only intensified his, err, her, terror.

A door slammed open and Canada jumped as Russia walked in, pipe in hand, looking as if he was about to murder someone. She clutched the sheet to her chest instinctively, even though she was wearing pajamas luckily.

“Наталья, что не так? Что случилось?!” Canada was left blinking at the Russian’s words, but settled down, nervous about why Russia had barged in to help her when she screamed. However, there was one word she recognized. Natalya. Blinking, she stood and walked past the now confused nation and to the mirror. Belarus was staring back. She jumped backwards and hit Russia. “Что?”

In the mirror, she could see a familiar person walk in and stare menacingly at them through the mirror. But the glare of the new person in the room stopped when he saw himself. A look of horror crossed his face and he began to scream as well.

It seemed that now Belarus was Canada, and Canada was Belarus.

Their fellow nations, by this time, were milling about in the hallway outside, trying to figure out what the scream had been about. When a second scream rent the air, America knew it was time to be a hero! He charged into the room and paused when he saw all three nations with very confused expressions. Deciding that Russia could comfort his sister, he settled for trying to calm down Canada.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” Canada glared and moved to punch him. As surprised as America was, he caught the fist that had been thrown at him and held it. “Come on! You know I didn’t do anything! His brother’s glare only seemed to intensify. America had rarely ever seen his brother like this and he was not about to push him.

Author!anon is a proud tease (and likes to think that surprises=right to change her mind) And it's always been my head cannon that Russia actually was very protective of his sister (when she isn't being crazy >>; ) Sorry for the short updates;

------------------------------------

Belarus, however, seemed to have regained her composure and walked over to the brothers, leaving Russia blinking in disbelief. She grabbed Canada’s pajama sleeve and started to drag him out, much to everyone’s surprise. He struggled a little in her grasp but when she shot him a meaningful look, he settled down.

The gathered nations all stared as Belarus pulled a grumpy looking person along. Who was that person, though? He looked familiar… America? No, America was standing in the room…

Finally, she reached her target. Opening a door, she pushed the other nation in and glanced around the empty meeting room to ensure that it was empty. “What is going on, Belarus?” She looked over what was her body. This was so weird.

“Why are you asking me? You obviously did this so you could get close to my brother since you know that he loves me!” And now Canada watched herself spout out nonsense about Russia. Okay, this had to be solved before everyone thought he was some kind of stalker. Glancing down at himself, he realized that it was probably too late for that. Most of the nations considered her to be pretty much psychotic and now she was in Belarus’ body. Wonderful.

“Look, I am not trying to get to your brother, okay? I just want to get us back to our regular bodies. Now, are you going to work with me on this or are you just going to talk about your brother?” She watched her body pout and wondered how Belarus was seeing without glasses. Maybe she just hadn’t noticed yet.

“Fine. I will work with you. Just stay away from him, okay?” She nodded and began to think of how all of this could have possibly happened. Well, there was everything that happened yesterday, but none of it seemed to Canada like it would trigger an event like this.

“Okay. Let’s think about things today and come back to this room later tonight and present our ideas. We can’t tell anyone what happened though because I don’t want to cause a panic or make people think that we are cra-” Again, it was a little late for that on Belarus’ part. “Crazy.”

He nodded a little and blinked over at his body. “What should we do if we have to present?”

Canada laughed and he thought it sounded weird to her. Belarus never laughed, at least not in front of other people, so the light, girlish giggle surprised her. “Well, I doubt that you will have to. Most people don’t even see me, so even if I am on the schedule, if you don’t stand up, it will be fine. And if I have to talk… I will just say that I agree with whatever Russia said.”

Belarus thought this over. It seemed like a good idea to him. Not to mention that if nobody ever noticed Canada, he could use that to his advantage to get closer to Russia… He would just have to figure out how to make his brother notice him. “Da. That will work.”

“Now then, should we get going?” A previously rare smile crossed her lips and he couldn’t help but scoff at it. That Canadian was going to fool a fool of herself, he just knew it. And who would be stuck with the reputation? Belarus. With a sigh, he nodded and started out the door.

They traded room keys and went back to get ready. After all, they couldn’t go to the meeting in pajamas. It took a while for Canada to figure out how to do the buttons on the back of her dress and it took even longer for Belarus to find his glasses. What was worse was that there was a polar bear that kept staring at him and asking how he was. He kept telling him that he was Belarus, but the bear seemed very skeptical.

The meeting went fairly well, all things considered. Belarus got ignored the whole time, probably because his brother was sitting on his lap. When Canada went over to try to rescue Belarus, she got a frightened expression from Russia and a look of sheer hate from Belarus. Deciding that she didn’t want to risk his wrath, he left them alone, walking across the room to sit next to her brother, America.

“Hey, Bela? What was up earlier? Are you okay?” America turned to look at her, a concerned expression on his face.

“Yeah, it was nothing. I just got a little spooked is all.” She waved it off and looked at the papers in front of her. They were all written in some Cyrillic language. Freezing, she hoped that there was nothing terribly important in them.

America gave a sigh of relief. “Good, I was really worried about you two. Where is Canada anyways? Last time I saw him, you were dragging him of to a meeting room somewhere…” His eyes grew wide. “Don’t tell me that the two of you are…” Her brother quirked an eyebrow and started to make sexual gestures with his hands. Canada looked away in embarrassment and tried to think of something, anything, to say.

While America was teasing her, she glanced over at Russia and Belarus. Russia had been watching her and America and noticing the gestures the American was making, seemed to be very upset. Belarus, however, looked as if he was in heaven.

She was vaguely aware of Germany telling off America for obscenity during a meeting when she glanced down and saw someone familiar staring up at her. “Kumadio? Is that you?”

The polar bear looked up at her and blinked. “Who?”

There was a pause before Canada broke into a wide grin and pulled Kumajiro onto her lap. “You know me! Even if you don’t remember, you know me!”

A silence filled the room as every last nation turned to see what they thought was Belarus, hugging a little white bear tightly, the biggest grin they had ever seen plastered across her face. With a blink, she realized and set the bear down, glancing back over to Belarus. His eyes were narrowed, but it seemed that as long as he had Russia, he wasn’t going to be too upset about Canada making a fool of herself.

The rest of the meeting went by as usual. Nobody seemed to notice that one of their members was currently very happily stuck beneath the largest nation. They broke for lunch and Canada rushed over to the pair of siblings. Russia’s eyes grew wide as he saw her approach and it almost seemed as if he was going to run away before she even had the opportunity to do or say anything.

He stood up and gave Canada an awkward smile. “Привет, сестра, как ты сегодня?” Canada simply blinked and cast Belarus a glance. The other nation rolled his eyes and stood right next to his brother. “He asked how you were.”

The larger nation started when he heard a voice at his shoulder and eyed the man next to him suspiciously. “Are you one of my sister’s secretaries?” The way the man had appeared out of nowhere to stand next to him reminded Russia of his sister. But she was standing in front of him, so it couldn’t be some elaborate ruse.

“No, I’m your sis-“ Belarus glanced between her body and Russia. He seemed to be frightened of the figure in front of him and Belarus couldn’t help but think that maybe… maybe Russia liked men more. It would make sense. After all, he seemed to stalk China and Japan and was generally more shy around Belarus and their sister, Ukraine. Maybe he was gay. He blinked and glanced one more time at Canada. Maybe having his body would get her closer to Russia? “I am Candia.”

Canada cringed slightly when she heard her real voice say his name improperly. Russia took notice of this and wondered why his sister would not like this man next to him. Brushing it off, he beamed at Belarus and clapped his shoulder. “You are very stealthy, Mr. Candia. It was almost as if you appeared out of nowhere.”

And I keep forgetting to say this, but, as a note, masculine pronouns=Belarus in Canada's body, feminine pronouns=Canada in Belarus' body. I know it's been really terribly confusing for me to keep up with, so I figured that I should post that little tidbit.
