OP, do you realize that you left me a comment longer than my actual fic? No really, I pasted it into Word and compared it and everything And do you realize how awesome that is? I just, oh my god thank you ;___; I've written a few fills now and this is the first time I've ever gotten a response from the OP (aside from a crack fill I did), but I can still say without a doubt that you are the BEST OP EVER.
I'll go into a few bits of my headcanon for this universe in response to some things you mentioned, because you deserve it:
- Michael and Eirik are juniors. Kristian and Matthias (and Tino and Berwald, for that matter) are seniors. Yao, on the other hand, is a teacher, so it would be pretty damn scary if he found them. HK and Taiwan are siblings by blood, while Kiku and Yong Soo were kind of just unofficially adopted by Yao.
- Michael's a pretty prominent member of the student council's events committee solely because he's able to sell tickets and whatever else better than anyone. That might be how he and Eirik met (I really mean 'might,' because I haven't quite figured that out OTL), and it's how a lot of the students at the school know him. It can be a little awkward for him to be part of the student council because of Arthur, but that's Arthur's fault, not his.
- Kristian and Matthias have an on-again off-again relationship that's been going on since their sophomore year or so. Matthias always thinks it's on and Kristian always thinks it's off, so of course he'd be more than happy to help by distracting Kristian. Attempting to corrupt Eirik a weird hobby for Matthias, partially because he knows it drives Kristian crazy and partially because he just thinks it's fun. He's the only one of the Nordics who knows about Eirik and Michael's relationship, mostly because he was insinuating it before it actually existed. Oh Matthias.
Anyway, thank you very very much for the feedback! You don't know how much it made me smile. I've been considering doing a partial de-anon of this but wasn't so sure if I should do it, and now I think I'm probably going to. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much, OP! ♥ ♥

Hong Kong was a colony of England's for a while IRL, so I figured that'd also translate to this universe. Most likely what happened was that Arthur was kind of like a mentor to Michael for a while, but he was too aggressive about it and they eventually had a falling out. These days, Michael is pretty casually friendly towards Arthur, while Arthur (being socially awkward in generally) doesn't really know how to act around Michael. Don't worry, you're not stupid.
When I say partial de-anon, I mean that I'm going to write something in the same universe and post that to the main comm, so you should look out for that there. Hong Kong/Iceland isn't going to be the main pairing, but they'll be there! And there will be much rejoicing. Hopefully.
P.S. If you want to do the little hearts, you type "& hearts;* without any spaces. ♥
