Author!anon, don't worry that this is getting off to a "slow" start; I kind of appreciate the world-building and characterization myself! It makes for a much better read, and it always feels more realistic to start this kind of story before someone new comes into their life and changes everything.
This is a really promising start; I was gonna just peek in and give it a look and leave, since I normally don't much care for the high school thing, buuuuuuuuut ... You got me; I can tell I'm gonna get sucked into reading it. XD Lol, happily sucked in, though!
You're doing an amazing job of writing an inner monologue that's both age AND character appropriate; it's 100% believable. And that mantra of Arthur's, along with this: Strength. Right now, it was only temporarily straying away from him. That rings really true for his personality and the position he's in. ♥♥♥
A school of strength. That was the funniest thing he’d heard in a long time. At least the smile on his face became slightly more genuine. Yeah, it's official; I love your characterization.
... Damn it, you're making me stalk this fill. ♥
Also, ReCaptcha says "juiciest of". Is this going to be the juiciest of all fills, anon? LOL

Thank you very much, anon! :') I'm glad you like this so far, and I'm happy you got sucked in, as well! ;) I really appreciate your review! I worry about the characterization sometimes, so it's good to know I'm on the right track! Thank you for reading, and I hope you'll come back for chapter two! <3
And of course this is going to be the juciest of all fills~ ;P
