Yes I should ignore that paragraph...otherwise you're so, so cruel...Future!America 'dies' trying to save England, yet England will still die in the future anyways, but then if England will not die, America won't visit the past and create one frigging loop of tragedy. over and over and over again. CLAMP-esque, much?
I love the 'love' (filial, affectionate, romantic, whatever - it's just so beautiful the type doesn't matter) that's there, in the face of pain and loss. America who is aggrieved and didn't think thoroughly for love, and England who feels old and didn't resist dying because he's caused the death of one America. But didn't England realise he would create that loop??
I wish I can ignore that last paragraph. Otherwise, lovely fill, author!anon. I love the beautiful, poetic descriptions (strangely, that red line cutting down England's face is the one I like best) and you know how to utilize dialogues and write between the lines. Not too many words, nor too few. Lovely. Otherwise, I would reaaaaallly love a 'semi-happy' ending, where nations live through the tragedy, though wounded and battered, and England sees America that comes into being when the past was disrupted, and have this 'love-filled' blink-and-you-will-lose-it moment, a few seconds of brilliance, emotions captured in a caress or an upward curl of one's lips.
