It's Perfectly Fine [1/2] anonymous February 16 2010, 02:50:57 UTC
Er. Writeranonjustfellforthispairing, OP. I'm sorry it's so short and repetitive; I hope you get a better fill than this one! orz

Every time the sand tickles her feet, it jolts her back into reality.

(She's been thinking about merely talking to him for quite a while, but she's not sure, really.)

Her computer has been messed up for weeks now, and she hasn't had the courage to walk up to him, after the suggestion from Lithuania, and just ask for him to help her.

She can't help but think about his eyes, blue as the ocean, a-and she feels her hands trembling just thinking about it.

(God, what an idiot. She should be able to confess, at least just once - and if it's unrequited, she can move on. That's the way it works, right? She wouldn't have to do anything else, just turn on her heel and walk away, pretend she wasn't damaged.)

She nods to herself, smiles, and skips down the seaside.

-

She is a very reserved person, most of the time, and it is more than unlikely that she would ask for someone's help.

(But not just anyone's help, because only he can.)

She's only reminded of his beauty twice more, as with a calm smile, he sinks into her problem - n-no, he's just here for the computer.

Timidly, the tan-skinned girl reaches a hand forward, and guides his mouse to the main account.

He nods in thanks, and she types the password in over his shoulder.

“I hope that wasn't rude of me, it's just that you never would have guessed it,”

(If he was watching her fingers, he would know. She wouldn't need to tell him. But she doesn't want to tell him, because that would be - would be awkward, if her feelings weren't returned. And half the time, Seychelles' feelings are not returned. She can only think of her papa, and that relationship he had with her several years back - no, no, that was a different matter, and it wasn't a good one, either.)

“No, no, not at all,” he replies, and she wonders if he means it, “You're correct. I may be a genius, but there are some things I cannot guess, right?”

“I suppose.”

She traces circles on the desk, and she thinks that maybe they could do this again.

Unexpected, Estonia reaches up and intertwines their hands, his grin more of a smile now, and it's a sweet one, a kind, intelligent, smile that she understands and - and likes, because it's a very handsome expression on his fair face.

“... I think I like you,” she mumbles, fingers unlocking from the Estonian's to clasp over her mouth.

Nonono -

“And perhaps I feel the same way.”

Noooooo - ... what?

She wraps her arms around his shoulders, confused, and he welcomes the action, sighing.

“It's okay. I honestly do.”

“I hadn't expected… you to… answer like that, you know…”

“Really? I was thinking you could tell.”

She laughs, but she can see the sarcasm twinkling in his eyes - blue as the sky, as the ocean, as a dolphin's back - and she wants to run her fingers through his hair, and wants to hear him whisper things into her ears -

Seychelles thinks it's all a dream, but it's not, it's real, absolutely real -

“Don't you hate France, Eduard?”

“… To an extent. I find a lot of people dislike mister Bonnefoy, however.”

“He's a pervert,” she giggles, finding her actions to be uncontrolled as she leans forward and pecks him on the cheek, “but he's my daddy.”

“And you don't mind that?”

“Not at all~”

The Baltic nation hums, and leans back into the chair, nodding.

“I understand, then. I do not hate mister Bonnefoy, I simply dislike him. And your reason is exactly why.”

“He hasn't actually tried to do anything to you, though, right?” She slaps the desk, suddenly determined. “Because if he has, I'm going to get onto him.”

“Daughter getting onto father, Seychelles?”

“… Yes. I have to reprimand daddy more than he has to reprimand me.”

She wishes they could do this more often, indeed.

(And her crush hadn't spawned over a conversation about daddy, surely. It couldn't have; she doesn't think she's that daft. But perhaps Francis is rubbing off onto her, and she's becoming more boisterous and flirtatious. And if that were to happen, well, the fish might be a tad displeased.)

Oh, but that's fine.

Their lips crash together, and at first Seychelles is shocked, but melts into it, and she's confused but she does - she does love him, she really does.

Normally, those that Seychelles likes do not feel the same way.

This is not the same with Estonia.

And though they're not close, they're not far either - and it confuses her, but it's fine.

(No, really, it's just - just perfectly fine, it's not awkward or anything - or perhaps it is, she doesn't know.)

Wow this was so beautiful. *sighs contentedly*
Please write more Seychelles anon! You have such a grasp on her character. Ouch. Her being afraid of unrequited love because of her past. And FRANCE omg what did he do this time?!!? (it's not what I'm thinking right? cuz that would just be *cringe* so so wrong) He's her daddy!
And Estonia too, wonderful characterization. And I love the imagery of the seashore. And the computer, and the password. This read like something out of a dream come true.
Thank you so much, anon. And please write more Seychelles and Estonia! We need more talented authors like you!
